Clarke's POV
„Happy birthday Lexa!" Ontari's voice woke us up.
„Are you crazy? It's 8 in the morning." Lexa groaned and burried her head in the pillow.
„Birthday?" I asked with tired voice.
„Yeah. Lexa's turning 19 today." Ontari couldn't hide the excitement.
„Why didn't you tell me?!" I smacked her back.
„Don't you two see Im trying to sleep?" She said and covered her head with blanket.
„Wake the fuck up Lexa. We gotta celebrate. I got whole day scheduled for us." Intari said and pulled the covers off her and left.
Lexa sighed and sat on the bed.„Lexa. Why didn't you tell me it's your birthday?" I asked slightly mad because I don't have a present for her.
„Because it's not important." She said quietly.
„How is your birthday not important?" I ceossed my arms.
„I didn't tell you for a reason. I don't celebrate my birthday since...you know." She sighed and her head fell down.
„We used to go on trips and have a big cake every year. It was the happiest day of the year. It's just not the same. I don't want to do that without them." She sighed.
I walked over to her side if bed and sat next to her.
„I don't even have a present for you." She didn't want to talk about it and I didn't either. I just let it go.
„Clarke. You're the best present that I could get."
„And that's why Im gonna make this day even better." I gave her soft slow kiss and stood up.
„Now. Dress up, Im gonna make us breakfast." I kissed her cheek and left the room.„Why didn't you tell me?" I hissed at Ontari when left the room and came downstairs.
„I thought you knew! She's your girlfriend after all." She threw her hands in the air.
„Well I didn't." I walked over to the kitchen counter but I had no idea where everything is.
„Uhh can you show me where do you keep kitchen things like pans and you know...stuff." I made awkward laugh after that.
„Yeah pans are in the cupboard under the sink and food is in the fridge but I suppose you know that." She chuckled and left to the livingroom.
„Thanks." I bended down and grabbed a pan. I wanted to make blueberry pancakes for her because it's her favorite but my cooking skills are also dangerous.„Okay. It can't be that hard." I said to myself and cracked the egg.
After I made dough I poured it in the pan.
It smelled nice until I did smell smoke.
„Shit." I tried to flip the pancake and help myself with hand but instead of helping I burnt myself.
„Wanna help with that?" I heard Lexa's voice behind me.
„Yes. No uhm. It's fine." I covered the pan with my back.
„Let's see." She approached me with smile. I stepped aside and revealed my pancake masterpiece.
„Woah. Looks good." She teased as she flipped the burnt pancake.
„Stop." I punched her arm plafully while she laughed.
„Sit down I'll do it." She kissed me before I walked over to the table.„So 19, huh? How do you feel?" I asked as I watched her cooking.
„Normal. How am I supposed to feel?" She chuckled.
„I don't know. Excited? Happy?"
„Well I don't feel any of those things." She said.
„So you're not happy?" I teased.
„Of course I am Clarke." She turned around and walked over to me and kneeled before me so she was on my level.
„You're the best thing that's ever happened to me. I would never put anyone before you. You're my number one priority. You brought out the best of me, the part of me I've never seen. You make me smile everytime but you can also make me cry. You have so much power over me than anyone else ever had. I love you with every part of me, Clarke." She said with smile as she removed hair from my face.
„Lexa I-"she cut me off with a kiss but I pushed her away.
„Your pancake is burning." I raised my eyebrow.
„Shit." She stood up and flipped a burnt pancake.
„But that was really beautiful indeed. I love you too." I smiled and hugged her from behind.
„Imma take a shower." I kissed her cheek and walked upstairs.
