You're Not Alone

Chapter 35

Clarke's POV

„She's awake."

My heart skipped a beat. It felt like the world stopped turning.

„She's asking for you Clarke." She whispered.
„I- Im on my way." I hung up and ran as fast as I could downstairs.

„Woah Clarke. Everything alright?" Lincoln held my shoulders when I accidently bumped him.
„Lexa woke up. We need to go. Now." He nodded and told the others.

We were on our way to the hospital.
„See. We told you she will be fine." Octavia smiled.
I smiled too. Now I had reason to smile. And it was real.
I just hoped it wasn't another dream. I wanted it to be real.

„We're here." Lincoln parked the car and I jumped out.
All four of us ran inside to find my mom who knew where Lexa is.
„Mom!" I yelled when I saw her in front of Lexa's room with papers in her hand. She nodded in agreěent to let me know I could go in.

I opened the door. My eyes immediately found Lexa's staring at the ceilnig but when she heard the door open she looked at me.
That damn smile.
„Hey." She whispered with tired voice.
Tears formed in my eyes as I ran to her and she wrapped her arms around me.
„Shh it's okay. Everything's fine." She rubbed circles on my back and hugged me tighter.
„I missed you so much." I sobbed into her shirt.
„I thought I lost you."
„Im here. I love you." Lexa gave me small kiss on the top of my head.

The others walked in.
„Hi guys." She said quietly with raspy voice and smiled.
„Thank god you're okay." O said.
I moved a little to wrap my arms around her but I forgot about her ribs.
„Ouch!" She hissed and arched her back.
„Im sorry!" I gasped and let go of her.
„It's fine." She sighed and shivered.
I pulled the chair towards her bad and sat down.
„How are you doing?" Bellamy asked when he bend down beside her.
„It hurts like bitch." She chuckled.
„I bet."

After couple minutes of awkward silence Bellamy decided to leave the two of us alone.

„How did it happen?" I asked carefully.
„I was driving home when suddenly he hit me. I didn't do anything wrong." Lexa answered.
„Does your cheek hurt?" I can't imagine how it must've hurt when she had those glass shards in her cheek.
„It's getting better." She gave me small smile.
I nodded and bit my lip as I stared at the ground.
„What is it?" She asked when she noticed.
„What?"
„You're biting your lip."
„And?" I raised my eyebrow.
„You always do that when you're nervous or something is bothering you." She chuckled.
„It's just...can I kiss you?" I looked at her with my red eyes.
Lexa smiled softly and raised her head a little bit so I could lean in. I did.
Our lips conected slowly and gently. I could feel butterflies in my stomach and the feeling sent shivers down my spine.
„I thought I'd never see you again."
„You really thought you'd get rid of me so easily?" She joked and let out silent laugh. It hurted for sure because of her ribs.
„I love you so much." I added.
„I love you too." My hand found hers and gave her gentle squeeze.

Meanwhile Anya and Aden came along with Luna, Indra and Nick.
„I'll leave you alone with them. I'll be back later." Lexa nodded and kissed me.

The door closed behind me. I saw my mom sitting in front of me with her head in her hands.

„Hey." I quietly said and sat down next to her.
„Hey honey." She sighed.
„What's wrong?" I asked her and stroked her shoulder.
„I didn't want to tell you just yet but I need you to hear it." I started to get worried.
„Lexa is doing fine. But there is a high possibility she might have a stroke."
