Xyla’s POV
After going to church, pumunta kami sa Mall at kumain sa restaurant. Kasama namin ang apat na butler ng pamilya. Si Butler Saff, butler ko. Si Butler Teal, butler ni Xytee. Si Butler Violet, butler ni Mama. At si Butler Slate, butler ni Papa. Napatunayan ko ng mapagkakatiwalaan sila. Minsan ko na kasi silang sinubukang lahat at nakapasa sila.
“What do you want to eat?” Tanong ng Mahal na hari. Ano pa bang gustong kainin ng tao? Hindi ba’t pagkain?
“Anything.” I said. Siya naman lagi nagdedesisyon, magtatanong pa siya. Napakaliteral naman kasi. Nag-order na siya ng kung anu-ano at tahimik lang kaming kumakain.
“How’s your stay at your Yaya Paz’s house?” Nagsisimula ng mag-interrogate ang hari.
“Fine.”
“Your Yaya said there are twelve boys staying there together with you, are they okay?”
“Yes.”
“Di ka ba nila pinababayaan doon?”
“No.”
“What’s with the short answer Xandria Laurene?” Wow! So he is mad now? Everytime he call me Xandria Laurene, it means he want me to answer him in details.
“What do you want me to say? I’m answering your questions straight to the point and I’m not dilly dallying.” Sabi ko nga kasi sa inyo, ayoko yung papatay-patay litanya kaya sinasagot ko siya ng diretso. Yes or No lang naman ang sagot, bakit pahahabain ko pa di ba?
“What I am telling is, you can even answer it by telling or sharing your experience with them.”
“Fine. As I got there the first day, one of them didn’t mean to cover my face with icing. I sit and eat with them in front of the table. I cook for them because their cooking is no-good. I met and know some of them. They are talking to me. They worried about me. We watch TV together and we sleep---”
“You sleep together with them?” He reacted with irritable face.
“No! I was telling that, we go to bed at the same time. I have my own room and it was big compare to them. Some of them are students like me and some of them are working. One of them is a doctor so I don’t have to worry about my health and I enjoy their company. Now, is that okay for you to hear?” Tumango-tango naman siya. I just rolled my eyes.
