It was quiet at home and you hadn't travelled with the doctor for a while but that didn't make it any less nerve racking. Life itself was filled with its own faults and now you had abandoned yourself slap bang into it.

You made you way downstairs sounds of shuffling increasing and you made your way towards the living area. A Lit cigarette hanging loosely from your lips. "Hello?" There was a monk looking man in your living room, calmly taking everything in with his gentle gaze. You stepped infront of the object he was glued to and set it down face first, hiding your present life from any strange gazes.

"Oh hello! Mr l/n I presume, I would like you to come with me!" He gesured holding out a vortex manipulator.

"Why" was all you could say. He sighs before trailing on. "Someone would like to see you before the execution" your face dropped at the last bit. He held your wrist softly and then you were gone.

"Ah y/n! Great you made it" the doctor spoke walking over. "So there's lot to catch up up on" you looked at him waiting for him to finshed but that was it, you shook you head, taking a drag of the cigarette causing the doctor to give you a disgusted look at the smoke circling your precious organs.

"Who's execution is this?" the doctor was about to explain, moving his lips slightly but the door opened cutting him off from speaking.

"That would be mine you see, Oh! Doctor! I didn't expect you. Thought you'd retired. Domestic bliss on Darillium, that's the word among the Daleks. What happened? Oh, I see. My condolences." You gritted your teeth at that, the doctor drops his gaze to the floor. This had to be it you thought; the last day before River 'died'.

She gestures towards the dais with one hand. You watch the Doctor closely as he walks to the side by the lake."The prisoner will kneel." No one moves. You see the monk person nod, two guards move to take Missy's arms.

"Right." Was all she could say before stepping  up onto the dais.
And kneeling. The doctor wouldn't let this happen right? You took the last drag before flicking into the river shuffling over to the doctor.

You look confused as ever as A cube rises from the lake. "The Quantum Fold chamber is prepared."

"Great." You watch missy as she rolls her eyes.

"The sentence will be carried out. Executioner?" They look at the doctor and he moves to face Missy, and puts his hand on a long lever. You have got to be kidding me?

"Please, I'll do anything. Just let me live." Missy pleas looking at the doctor. A frown appears on your face as you watch the doctor in caution.

Before the doctor pressed the lever a man appears walking down, "Have you requested a priest?" The monk asks looking at missy.

Missy smirked. "Well, I haven't. "

You look at The figure gesturing to the Doctor to approach. "Apparently, I have." He muttered removing himself from the lever and walking away.

You just stood there watching the doctor walk away leaving you with Missy as fixes her eyes on you, "hello dear, your not going to let the doctor kill me are you?" She pouts.

"I can't do anything, I don't even know why I'm here" You express wanting nothing to do with a front row seat to a time lord execution.

"I wanted you here, love. If I am to die I want something pretty to look at, eyebrows over there Is no use."She smiles before blowing a kiss your way. You had no time to react as the doctor marched back over to the lever with determination never seen before.

Missy starts to panic and you can't help but feel bad for her, her own best friend pulling the switch. "I'll be good, I promise. I'll turn, I'll turn good. Please. Teach me, teach me how to be good. Please doctor" at this point She is close to tears as if she was sure he would kill her. She knew full well she didn't deserve his forgiveness but pulling on his hearts would bring her closer to living.

"Without hope. Without witness. Without reward." The doctor blankly expresses. The Doctor pulls the lever. You see Energy surging from the four columns into Missy's body and she collapses in a small cloud of smoke. You watch The Doctor turns away. You can't help but look away too.

The doctor spoke up again looking upon everyone before finally landing his eyes on missy's body. "On my oath as a Time Lord of the Prydonian Chapter, I will guard this body for a thousand years."

You start to move your feet over to missy but The two guards beat you too it and step forward to remove Missy's body. "Oi! Get off. Get off! I've just been executed. Show a little respect." She dramatically spoke before pretending to sleep among the floor.

"Yo-ure a-live" You stuttered at missy causing her eyes to peel open once more and snap towards your curious gaze.

Missy lets out a small chuckle but her relief didn't go unnoticed. "Oh dear of course I'm alive I was just a bit sleepy, all right? Night-night." Missy goes to closes her eyes again.

Doctor spoke up "Of course she's not dead. She's a friend of mine. I may have fiddled with the wiring a little bit." You smiled at that. Not wanting the Certain woman to be dead, well you had a feeling you were about to see her around more often.

"Nardole, y/n. help me move Missy to the Vault." He gestured, you move forward taking her into your arm, she snuggled into you, her head resting against you beating pulse. You feel her gasp in surprise and you couldn't hide it, Missy had already known for a long time.

"Your stay with me right" she whispered to you. At this point you were standing outside a vault. You let her down with ease letting her readjust herself with the familiar feeling of walking on her own two feet. Her smile fading from her face.

"Y/n?" You face the doctor and his looking at you to move out of the vault. You look between the two before deciding to step out leaving Missy to return back to pouting.

"So now you've just gotta guard her right?" You ask the doctor gesturing to the vault slowly closing behind you. He just stares at you. "Cos I me-an I cou..ld if you know your busy" you stuttered a lot, which was new; you always had words to say. He looks at you in disbelief, he moves back thinking. He nods gives you a thumbs up and walks away. So you took that as a yes. You pulled up a chair and stared at the door.

You just sat there smiling and wondered if she could feel your presence from behind the thick metal door.
