Awake

You awoke from a glass shattering on the floor spilling missy's water to the ground mixed with a thick red substance. Your eyes where glued to the floor as the liquid ran like a river to your shoes.

"Ah shit" you screamed looking over to a awake missy who held a sadden smile.

"Sorry dear, I didn't mean to wake you, I dropped the glass" she whispered. Your heart fluttered at the word dear.

You noticed that she hadn't let go of your hand causing you to smile widely. "I'm just glad your awake. Anyway I'll get that." You spoke releasing your hand from hers causing her to sigh. You ran your fingers through your locks as your hearts calmed down.

You picked up the broken glass throwing it into the nearest bin and wiping up the liquid with a cloth before preparing missy a new glass of water. Your hands shaked holding the glass but you couldn't let missy see so you tired your best at hiding it.

"Here you go" you whispered handing her the glass with your best grip. She watched you as she finished the water of placing it back into your hand. You placed it carefully into the sink before placing yourself back at missy's side in the chair.

"So... how are you feeling?" You asked unsure what to say or do. Your hands felt cold without her touch but you wouldn't dare try to hold her hand.

"I'm okay, love. Bit shaken" she sighed watching you stare at anything but her.

"That's good" you stated playing with your fingers.

"Ah your awake at last" the doctor announced scanning missy again with the sonic. She frowned watching you sit there "y/n could you leave us for a minute please"

"Uh ye- yeah sure." You stuttered not really wanting to leave missy's side not after everything that happened. You sighed taking the door and closing it behind yourself. You lingered at the door hopeful to hear what the hell happened.

"Doctor! You need to get him somewhere safe their coming for him." You heard missy whisper. You finally removed from the door, you didn't want them to know your were listening in to their conversation But the words stayed close to you. Who was coming you thought frowning your eyebrows together as you walked through the corridors.

"Hey y/n. You alright, mate?" Ryan asked running to your side.

"Yeah yeah great. She's awake, all good" you sighed.

"You two still haven't made up then"

"Yeah! Cos I'll just apologise for sleeping with Yaz and then we can sit down together and talk about how she tortured me, sounds great!" You snapped.

"Whoa. Calm down, y/n. What's going on?" He asked sincerely.

You thought about it for a second debating if it was time to come clean. "No I'm fine" you lied shoving your hands in your pockets.

"Right" he spoke sarcastically. You both made your way into the console room in silence after that.

"I need a fag" you stated taking out your packet of cigarettes from your coat and carefully placing a cig between your lips. You opened the tardis doors and wondered out a couple of meters away in what looked like London before lighting it. The smoke swarmed to your lungs with your Deep inhale.

"You're late" a voice spoke behind you.

"Wait what. Oh hi Kate" you smiled turning around towards a group of armed men pointing their guns at you. "Oh them too" you pointed at the soldiers.

She stared at them making them place down their weapons.

"Late for what? Anyway thought you guys got shut down" you smirked placing yourself down on a wall still inhaling the smoke.

"Oh y/n. Look around." She spoke shaking her head.

"Eh What I'm I looking at?" You asked in confusion taking a drag of your cigarette.

"The cybermen!" She exclaimed pointing to the metal men being held back by tanks. There were mountains of copses of both human and metal layered in blood. You could hear cry's of people escaping as shots rippled through the air but none of it made you move an inch.

"Oh yeah that! So why Am I here?" You laughed, causing them to look at you in disbelief at your lack of empathy.

"Your here to help, wheres the doctor?" She asked raising her brow at your weird mood. 

"Where ya think" you giggled pointing at the blue box.

"Looking for me!" The doctor yelled stepping out with the gang behind her including missy.

"Shouldn't you be resting?" You asked quickly getting up.

"She wouldn't listen." The doctor sighed. "Oh no what happened here?" The doctor asked more empathetic than you were.

"Well Doctor, they just appeared from no where but we have reason to believe they came through from another world."

"That's impossible I closed the rift."

"Well Doctor, maybe you should talk to miss Tyler, she brought them through."

"Wait Rose is back?" the doctor asked smiling softly.

"Oh great" Yaz whispered through gritted teeth causing you to give her a small smile.

"Well if you don't mind follow us" Kate commanded, leading the way.
