"I don't know if I can" you whispered trying to be a quiet as you could so missy or the others couldn't hear.

"What even happened?" Yazs question made you tense. His laughter erupting your mind. You still managed to stutter out a few points of which happened to you which caused Yaz to cross her arms and glare at both missy and the doctor.

"You have to be kidding me?" Yaz said speaking much louder causes everyone to turn to look at you.

"Shshsh" you lunged forwards covering her mouth. "It's fine I just need time" you sighed.

"You shouldn't have to, they did this to you" she spat in anger. You placed your head in your hands but when you looked up she was gone, storming over to the doctor. You held your breath as everyone froze. The doctor smiled at yazs present but a frown appeared on her face as Yaz punched her causing the doctor to trip over her feet. She landed on the ground causing you to gasp.

You wanted it to be over but Yaz decided she definitely wasn't done. She gave one look at missy before taking after her too. You were frozen unable to move. the doctor got up fast trying to hold her back but of course yazs fist had already connected to missy's face.

Graham restrained Yaz stopping her for going for seconds. "You hurt my friend, graham let go she deserves this!"

"Yaz please stop" the doctor pleaded holding her now bloody nose.

Missy lifted up her face, she had a busted lip. You didn't know Yaz was so physically strong but you now knew because the cut looked deep. Missy held a broken look as she stared intently at you. "She right, I do deserve this" she took steps towards you which caused you to take some back. "I'm so sorry y/n" she whispered.

"Don't" you warned breathing rapidly still feeling his grip hard around your throat. It felt like You could breath, the air still trapped at your lips.

Before she could go any further the tardis beeped causing the doctor to look curiously at the sample.

"Ugh nothing! I need to check the protein levels." The doctor sunched up her face which caused her to insanity whimper at her bloody nose. She took one look at Yaz who seemed more calmer at this moment in time before pulling down the lever causing the tardis to jolt awake.

"So where are we going?" Graham asked handing the doctor a handkerchief to catch the blood ozzing out.

"Your house, of course."

"What?" He grumbled letting go of Yaz. You froze as she glared at missy.

"Yaz" you warned snapping her gaze away and encouraging her to move back over to you. River stood emotionless taking it all in slowly.

"I'm sorry" she whispered taking you into a hug that you weren't up for so you backed further away, you weren't up for any physical contact anymore unable to clear your thoughts of him.

"It's okay" you reassured her as she frowned at you action. "I'm not a hugger" you lied.

"You were" she sighed sadly.

"Guess things change." You gulped "and i'll guess I'll stay. For you" you shoved her playfully causing her face to light up in excitement.

"Really?"

"Really" you smiled. "If I'm not around who's gunnu stop you from killing them" you half teased still feeling tense around the two time lords who watched your whole interaction. Missy watched with a frown whereas the doctor smiled widely.

"I would if they do anything like that again, trust me I've have police training" she smirked.

"Awh my protector!" You exclaimed, this caused missy to tear up at your words, she escaped the room without any further word but of course you hadn't even noticed her leaving.

"Well we've landed" the doctor clapped her hands excitedly.

You let the rest leave first giving you moments to collect your thoughts and steady your breath. River left too obviously excited but eager to keep the doctor in line.

You sighed walking out too seconds before the doorbell rings.

"Oh! Is that your intruder alert or mine?" Is what you hear when you exit.

"It's the doorbell." Shakes his head.

"Oh yeah. Sorry." The doctor grumbles as Graham goes opens the front door. You hear him speak a quiet No before slamming the door back.

"Who was it?" You asked sitting down next to yaz on the sofa obviously not to close to brush past her.

"Wrong number." You could tell he was lying and you were starting to get good at noticing that from people.

"Intruder alert again?" The doctor asks finally collecting all her equipment before hanging about in the living room.

"It's a doorbell." Graham states chuckling.

"I'll go tell 'em to go away" Ryan got up fast.

"No, Ryan. Oh." Graham cringed plopping himself next to you causing you to jolt up and run to the nearest free space in the corner of the room. They all look at you with sympathy.

"Ryan, you okay?"

"This is Yaz, the Doctor, river and y/n" Ryan points at you all individually which causes you to instantly notice the lack of missy presence.

"Hi." The man mumbles softly waving.

"This is me Dad." You choke a little causing Ryan to glare.

"You weren't at Grace's funeral" the doctor smiled sadly.

"No." He muttered ashamed with himself.

The doctor opened her mouth again making the rooms vibe die faster. "Ryan waited for you. You let him down."

There's a Long pause as everyone looks around unsure what to say.

"I was thinking maybe we could grab a coffee." He forces a smile.

"Er, yeah, right. Er, sure. Er, is it all right if we er...? We're just gonna go..." he turns to look at Graham "Is that okay if er...?" Ryan stutters reading the room for answers. You just stood there being useless as Yaz spoke up.

"If you're needing somewhere to go, café around the corner's open."

"Yeah. Yeah, good shout, good shout. I'll just get me coat."

"can I have a word?"Graham and Aaron follow Ryan out of the room. You let out a sigh as river entered the room obviously missing out on everything carrying a small box of equipment and making her way to the tardis, slipping in a not so secret wink at the doctor.

The doctor blushed softly, she coughed as her gaze caught you and yazs eyes. "Ryan's Dad."

"It's complicated" Yaz mumbled playing with her fingers.

"Yeah. Dads are, so I've heard. Oh wait I am!" The doctor started with a serious tone before pulling you into the tardis with a cheerful smile on her face. "Come along pond!"

"You know that's not my last name right it's song!" You exclaimed.

"Why you go as y/l then?" Yaz asked raising a eyebrow.

"Couldn't have this one knowing who I was" you mumbled taking a seat under the console.
