You struggled to keep the smile back when you heard the gentle notes fill the room. You heard a sigh as she lifted herself up from the piano and the clicking of her boots stopped in front of you. You pretend to stay asleep but became difficult when her hands ran through your hair.

"Oh y/n. I could never lose you" she whispered. You felt her sniffle above you.

"and you never will, my love" your whispered opening your eyes.

She smiled softly letting her hand fall from your locks to cup your cheek. "Nightmare?" She asked causing you to frown your eyebrows.

"Not that I know of? Why?"

"Nothing, dear" she sighed picking herself up from the bed. You sat up grabbing her hand as well.

"No tell me, missy?" You asked curiously.

"It was just all the screaming that's all" she stated shrugging her shoulders and looking away. She took a moment to collect herself as you took the information in. "Anyway we're at your aunts, you know the doctor couldn't wait" she smiled shyly.

"Right Well then we better get out there" you mumbled getting out of missy's bed.

The walk to your aunts was quiet and you hadn't said much more to missy and neither did she. You opened the door but a massive memory swarmed your head "oh no you don't doctor!" You yelled storming into the house.

"Y/n your finally here, tea?" Vastra asked sitting down with everyone else around the table. Everyone looked at you as you barged in glaring at the doctor as she knelt down to the small boy in the room.

"Doctor what are you doing" you growled.

"Doctor, who's that?" The boy asked looking at you with curiosity in his eyes.

"Oh that's just a friend y/n, don't worry" she told him squeezing his hand gently with a wide smile.

"Y/n?" Missy asked with shock looking around the room. Everyone else just stayed quiet watching the doctor draw pictures with the young you.

"Who's that one? She's rather pretty!" He smiled causing missy to give you a wink. Yaz snorted watching you turn Red in embarrassment.

You sighed feeling your cheeks heat up. "Doctor, your changing my past, my memories, you need to go!" You whispered yelled trying to her attention.

She sighed leaving the boys side and taking your hand. "I missed out on it for too long, I didn't mean to get the time wrong but we're here now!" She smiled looking back at the young you, who was admiring rivers drawing, you could make out a few stick figures of her, you and the doctor outside a little blue house.

You scoffed looking away. "Doctor! It doesn't matter about the stupid memories, you weren't there you can't just go around changing them!" You softened your tone as she frowned. "Doctor I just mean, I don't care about any of that I've got you and river now, that's all that matters"

"Would you like to see my room?" the boy piped up looking between river and the doctor who both nodded.

Younger you took rivers hand and guided them all through the house to your old room. You cringed trying to stop the doctor as she went for the handle but the boy was very persistent and pushed past you.

Missy took your hand for comfort but it didn't stop the doctors face from falling as she sighed deeply at your drawings. The drawings covered the walls and thick outlines of soldiers could be seen. Red paint spattered the walls as figures could be seeing burning in the crayon stained flames. A young figure like yourself could be seen running through the flames as the guards followed you. Vastra sighed as well looking rather awkward as river and the doctor stared at them with unease. "We tried to take them down, doctor but he goes to draw more, they get more gruesome each time" Vastra stated watching the boy play with his action figure.

Missy turned to you as you let a tear fall freely from your eye. She had a sympathetic smile on.

"Maybe we should go, doc?" Graham pipped up breaking the silence after he witnessed you struggle to stay strong.

"Great idea" missy whispered leading you out of the room. You looked back to river giving the young you a small head kiss before wiping her tears and taking the doctor out of the room. The boy looked so confused as Vastra comforted him when they walked away. You let more tears fall remembering that day, how more lost you felt, how upset you were when they cried.

Missy ran a soothing hand over your back, leading you into the tardis and helping your shocked state sit down on the steps of the console room. "It's okay dear" she whispered pecking your forehead with her soft lips.

"Is it!" You screamed when you sat down. "No one was ever meant to see that! FUCK!  I'm just so confused and angry at myself, missy. All that shit that happened it's never truly over, it keeps getting uncovered and then where I'm I Huh? STILL FUCKING STUCK AS THE NIGHTMARE CHILD. That boy will have his whole life crushed, he will wonder were his fucking family went, every night he'll cry and scream because the fucking monsters are coming for him. Hell have a cloud above his head waiting for the rain to fall, and that missy, is when the thunder comes." You clutched your tight fist letting the tears pour out.

Through your blurry figure you noticed the doctor walk in through your speech with bloodshot eyes, her hands intertwined with rivers who held the same expression. The gang not far behind them as they watched you in pity.

You gave them one look before rushing of to your room.
