Chapter 37

THIRD PERSON

It was a summer day when Linus and his brother Vonefort went on a lake to catch some fish. Both of them run while holding their pales and rods.

"Paramihan tayo ng fish, kuya!" Masayang wika ni Vonefort.

"Sige." Sagot ni Linus sa nakababatang kapatid.

Masaya silang naminwit ng mga isda habang nakasunod sa kanila ang kanilang mga bantay. They don't mind anyone because of them are happy with each other.

"Hala! Bakit mas madami sayo, kuya?" Wika ni Vonefort. Linus grinned and tap the head of his little brother.

"Someday mas malalamangan mo si kuya." Umiling si Vonefort sa sinabi ni Linus.

"Ayaw ko. Gusto ko fair tayo, kuya. Tara uwi na tayo tapos bigay natin itong fishes kay Mama. Baka gumaling siya sa mga fishes natin."

Their mother, the queen, is having a terrible time during those days. She caught some illness that no one knows how to cure. Lagi lang itong nakahimlay sa kama habang ang Hari, ang kanilang ama, ay nababahala na sa sitwasyon. He did everything in his power to make her well but to no avail. He always gets disappointed.

Weeks later, the Queen sent his two sons to visit her. She knows that her time is almost up.

"Mama!" Masayang tawag ng kanyang bunsong anak pero kaagad din itong natigilan nang makita ang kanyang itsura. She's pale and thin. Buto't balat na lamang. She still smiled brightly and forced them to hug her. Hindi nagpahuli ang dalawa at mabilis na umakap sa ina.

"Mama, will you get better? Please, Mama. Please be better. Kuya and I will do everything to make you better." Naiiyak na sambit ni Vonefort sa ina. The Queen laughed but tears are forming in her eyes. She doesn't want to leave her kids but she knows that her body can't stand it anymore. Anumang oras ay bibigay na siya.

"I love you, my sons. Mahal na mahal ko kayo. Giving birth to the both of you is the most precious thing happened to me." Makahulugang wika niya habang hinahaplos ang buhok ng dalawa niyang anak.

"Are you going to leave us?" Mahinang tanong ni Linus. Ngumiti ang Reyna sa kanyang panganay na anak.

"Linus, my sweetheart, alagaan mo ng mabuti ang iyong kapatid. Someday you will be a King. Choose the woman you will marry and make us proud. Be strong, wise and vigiland but do not forget how to be kind to your people. Love them." Humalik siya sa noo ng kanyang anak at pagkatapos ay tumingin sa bunso.

"My love, my youngest, mawawala man ako sa tabi mo pero nariyan ang kuya at ang Papa mo para suportahan ka. Be a good man and always support your people. Be humble always and be kind to others."

Umiiyak na ang dalawang bata kaya niyakap niya ng mahigpit ang dalawa. "Problems will always arise but do not give up easily. Always support each other and you will found your way out. Be strong and always remember that I love you so dearly."

Kinuha niya ang isang kahon sa tabi ng kanyang hinihigaan. Binuksan niya iyon at kinuha ang laman nito. Its a pin that symbolizes their family. Inabot niya ang mga kamay ni Linus at ibinigay iyon sa kanya.

"This is the symbol of our family. Once you bear it, it means that you are the rightful heir to the throne. Do not throw it away, Linus for you are the next in the throne. You are the rightful heir." Tumango si Linus at tinanggap ang pin.
