Chapter 38

THIRD PERSON

Kinuyom ni Linus ang kanyang kamay. How dare this daemon come here in his place? Masama ang tingin ng Hari sa kanya at ganoon rin siya sa bisita.

"Why are you here?" Nagpipigil na tanong ni Linus. The cold but dangerous eyes of the King is visible in its face.

"To get her." Maikling sagot ng Hari. Linus scoffed. As if Linus would let it happen.

Not on my watch.

Linus felt Doreen hide on his back. Nanginginig ang kamay nito na nakahawak sa damit niya sa likod. He took a quick glance before looking back to the unwanted visitor in the front.

"Doreen, come back to us." The King said. Humakbang ito palapit pero mabilis na nilabas ni Linus ang kanyang sandata gamit ang kapangyarihan at tinutok sa kalaban.

"She is not coming with you." Linus said. Mas humigpit ang kapit ni Doreen sa kanyang likuran. He could tell that she's scared.

He saw the King smirked and then in a glimpse, a batallion of men are pointing their swords at them.

"Give her to me before they kill you right here, right now." Pagbabanta ng Hari.

This time, Linus smirked. Mukhang minamaliit siya ng kalaban. Hinawakan niya ang kamay ni Doreen.

"Stop me when it became worse. You'll know how. I promise that I won't give you to him. Go over there and leave this to me." Wika niya sa dalaga. Pinahid niya ang luha ni Doreen bago humarap sa harapan.

DOREEN'S POV

Paano nalaman ni Kael kung saan ako nagtatago? Muli nanamang tumulo ang mga luha ko na kaagad kong pinunasan pero hindi ito humihinto sa pag-agos. I would never forget that cold expression in his face when my grandfather died. I begged but he never listened. I cried but he didn't heard. He remained cold and until now, he's still cold.

Mahigpit ang pagkakahawak ko sa laylayan ng damit ni Linus. He took a quick glance at me. Alam kong nahahalata niya ang takot ko. Pinipilit kong palakasin ang loob ko dahil nanginginig talaga ang buo kong katawan. That King is the reason why am I broken and I would never forget that.

"Give her to me before they kill you right here, right now."

A lot of daemons are pointing their swords to us. Mas lalong nadagdagan ang takot ko but Linus turned around and faced me.

"Stop me when it became worse. You'll know how. I promise that I won't give you to him. Go over there and leave this to me." He wiped my tears and ready his sword. Humakbang ako palayo sa kanila at nagtago sa likod ng kurtina.

Pumikit si Linus at mabilis na dumilat. Nanlaki ang mga mata ko. His eyes changed colors. Pero bakit.. magkaiba ang kulay ng kanyang mata? The left is indigo while his right is red..

Does that mean...

He is a half vampire and half daemon??

Is that possible?!

I've read this pero hindi ko alam na totoo ito! Ang akala ko ay kwento lamang ito.

If witches represents green as our strength and power, vampires represents the colour red while daemons represents indigo.

Mabilis ang galaw ni Linus. Mabilis niyang napabagsak ang ilan sa mga daemons na kumakalaban sa kanya. Kael is also fighting him using his sword pero mas mabilis ang kilos ni Linus sa kanya. He can fight them altogether!

He is so skilled in battling them. I can even see that the enemies are having a hard time dealing Linus.

Pero habang tumatagal, violet smokes are forming in his left arm. Ano iyon? Tinitigan ko ng maigi yung usok. Its coming from his arm. Ibig sabihin ay siya ang nagpapalabas ng usok na iyon? The smokes are travelling around his body, going on his right body part.
