Song Song
"Eomma, where's my Appa?" I just smiled at my five year old daughter's question. I rubbed her hair before carrying her.
"Baby, he's busy with his work. Okay? Now go to sleep. We're going to mommy's hometown tomorrow." I said as I put her to bed and sing her to sleep. She was hugging his father's picture. I didn't notice the tears falling from both of my eyes after she fell asleep. She exactly looked like her father.
I kissed her forehead before heading out of her room. I wiped my tears off my face when I saw our picture. Joong Ki and I. A tear escaped from my eye again. It still hurts.
He promised to love me until his very last breath. But he never did. He filed a divorce and I had no choice but to let him go. Because I love him so much and I didn't want him to get tied with me when in the first place, he didn't. It was just lust talking for him.
I moved out from Korea to have a peaceful life. Little did I know, we had a daughter. I didn't tell him. He wanted ti be free from me so if I tell him, my daughter will just end up getting hurt from what his father might think about her. We have a daughter and I'm bringing her to Seoul tomorrow. I need to explain things to her. Her real home. Her parent's home.
She was excited especially when our plane landed. For the last two days of staying, I explained every traditon and culture Korea has. She was pouting while I was mixing the ramen inside a convenience store. I want her to try this one. Her father and I used to eat here. I smiled at that thought.
"Eomma, I want to stay here." I was surprised to hear that statement from her. I just laughed.
"No Aegi, we can't. Our life is in France now." I kindly explained. She pouted even more.
"But I want it here. I want to find my Appa. He's working here, right? And I want him to carry me and tell me that he misses me so much." physical pain started to occur in my chest.
Baby, your Appa doesn't know he has a baby. I almost cried.
"And also tell me that he loves me. He loves me, Eomma. Right? He loves me." tears pooled in my eyes while she was asking that simple, innocent, yet hard question.
I smiled sadly at her. My heart broke when she turned her back against me and ran away. I immediately followed her.
"Baby— let Eomma explain." I pleaded while finding her inside the store. She can't be outside. It's freezing cold.
I was stunned to see my daughter calm. Looking up to man who's wearing an all black outfit. Which is also looking down at my daughter. Our daughter. I gulped.
My breathing became harsh when he removed his cap. His undeniable beauty resurfaced. My heart started to beat expeditiously.
Song Joong Ki.
"Appa?" with a brittle voice, my little angel asked him. I covered my mouth to prevent myself from sobbing. I saw his surprised expression.
I immediately covered my daughter.
"No, baby. He's not your Appa." I told her. I lied. Tears began to fall as I carry her and exit the store. Godammit. Why now? I don't want her to hurt if he drop a word!
"Hye Kyo... Hye Kyo-yah!" I was trying my best to run and be careful. But he ran faster. I looked away.
You saw you daughter. And one look, you can say that the recessive traits are yours.
"You don't need to know." I said emphatically. I was about to turn my back against him when his manly arms catch both of me and our daughter. He was embracing us. And I can't help but to cry. How dare you.
"I am your Appa. Hye Kyo, give me a chance. Please."
ps. THIS IS PURE FICTION.
