Tagpuan

I was eating my dinner while my Lolo was watching the television. It was Idol Philippines that was showing and a performace was about to start. Lucas Garcia. And he's performing Tagpuan by Moira. Napatigil pa ako sa pagkain dahil sa kagandahan ng perfromance niya. He really took my soul. Until I saw my Lolo rubbing his eyes.

"Are you crying, Amang?" I asked him. Ngumuso pa ako nang tumawa siya. He sniffed before answering.

"He got me there." he said, pointing at Lucas who's on the television smiling widely because of the judges comments. Well, I agree. It was beautiful.

"Bakit po?" I asked him. He smiled at me. So I smiled back. Though I can see a glint of sadness in his eyes.

"It reminds me of your Lola." my heart sank as I remember my late grandmother. She's in heaven now. But I can still see admiration in my Lolo's eyes even though she's not here anymore. I can still feel his love for her.

"I can't imagine going there first." he chuckled. Nakinig lang ako dahil magku-kwento ulit siya.

"Back in our days, she always needs my help. Goodness, your Lola is older than me, but she's clumsy and childish. She always needs my help and after our wedding, ang pinakamatagal na nawalay ako sa kanya ay limang oras." he chuckled again, as he reminisce those memories of him and my grandmother. He shook his head. I smiled.

"She'll always cry when we're apart and I can't handle seeing that. So I'd always stick to her." he narrated. But he let our a sigh.

"Too bad, she gave up too quickly." malungkot na saad nito. I pouted. He laughed at my reaction.

Gusto ko ng lalaking tulad ng Lolo ko. His love and devotion to my grandmother, I can still feel it until now. Kahit na mahda-dalawang taon nang wala siya. He's so lovely. His love is wonderful.

He chuckled so I smiled sadly. Well, what can I say? It's true love.

"Don't worry, Apo. I will meet her soon. Sa Tagpuan ni Bathala."
