24. Invisibility Prank Gone Wrong

INVISIBILITY PRANK GONE WRONG

"OH SIGE BRIGHT! GAWIN KA NAMING INVISIBLE!" kumunot ang noo ni Bright sa pinagsasabi ng mga kaibigan niyang nawawala nanaman sa wisyo.

"Oyy snobber talaga. Huwag ng KJ! Sige na Bright! Upo na dito! Naghanda pa naman kami ng invisibility cloak na parang sa Harry Potter." tumawa silang lahat ngunit umirap lang ito at nagsalita.

"Anong kagaguhan nanaman ba ang naisip niyong gawin saakin?" labag man sa kalooban niya at umupo siya sa upuan na ihinanda ni Bradley. Isa sa mga kaibigan niya. Nandito sila sa condominium ni Mae, isa rin sa mga kaibigan niya. Nagkayayaan lang silang magbabarkada.

"OKAAAY AREE YOU READEEEEEY?" malakas na tanong ni Bradley na para bang feel na feel niya maging magician sabay labas nung tela na hindi naman mukhang cloak ni Harry Potter. Umirap si Bright at nagkibit balikat.

"Okay. Bright this is real and pure magic—"

"Cut it off! Just do it idiot!" nagsigawan sila ng putulin ko ang mga salita ni Bradley. Ang dami pang sinasabi eh.

Tinakloban ni Bradley ng medyo malaking fabric si Bright bago ito nagsalita at ipinatong ang palad sa ulo ni Bright. Nagbuga si Bright ng hangin. Bradley and friends recited a crazy kind of ritual before removing the fabric onto Bright. Napasinghap sila.

"OMG! IT WORKED! NASAAN NA SI BRIGHT?"

"BRIGHT? OMG? WHERE ARE YOU? SPEAK UP!"

Naglibot libot sa kwarto ang mga kaibigan ni Bright. Para silang mga tanga pero pretend lang talaga ang ginagawa nilang lahat. They can see Bright. They can see her clear stoic expression while cooly sitting at the chair prepared by the group.

Bright's stoic eyes met Lynx's euphoric one. Her stoic eyes became melancholic as he stares at her. She felt so hurt. Like knives keep on stabbing her heart. Mas lalo na nung nilapitan siya ni Melany. Ang kasintahan ni Lynx.

Parang mga tanga parin talaga ang mga kaibigan ni Bright. Alam na niya itong prano na ito. She already watched it in YouTube. But maybe she'll take advantahe of this one.

"I'm right here. You guys look so foolish. Stop this shit." she pretended. She pretended that she doesn't know. Sasakyan nalang niya. Tumayo siya at niyakap si Bradley.

"HALA I CAN FEEL HER PRESENCE!" sigaw ni Bradley. Hinigpitan niya lalo ang yakap sa binata. She'll miss him.

Isa isa niyang niyakap ang mga kaibigan niya, at kasama roon sila Melany at Lynx.

"IF YOU'RE HERE WITH US PLEASE LET'S TAKE A PICTURE. SIT HERE BESIDE ME BRIGHT. OH GOSH." she effortlessly sat beside Bradley who's really bad at acting. Masyado silang halata. Napakamot siya sa batok ng makita na wala siya sa litrato na kinuhanan nila ngayon ngayon lang ngunit nagsalita lang siya.

"You're all so fvcking ridiculous. But i want to thank all of you for making my life worth living for this past few weeks." they were shock. Napakunot noo si Lynx ng tumayo ai Bright at pumunta sa kusina. Hindi nila ito sinundan ngunit may nakita silang papel sa inupuan kanina ni Bright.

Dear all,

Lol you might not expecting this but i can't hold it anymore. The bright and happy Bright you've been seeing for years is a fake. I'm not happy and bright as my name. I'm just a miserable, melancholic and hopeless creature. I tried to fix myself. I tried to inspire and motivate myself but suicidal thoughts can't stop coming through my mind. Bradley, thank you for making me cry in bliss a lot. Mae, thank you for lending me help in every situation. Joey, thank you for the warm hugs and harsh truthful words. Melany, thank you for making Lynx happy. And Lynx, thank you for being able to make me feel that so called 'pag-ibig'. I love you all and i've been with this letter since 2017. I don't know if i can last. I'm not dramatic. This is the real story. My parents were murdured. You know politics. My brother killed himself, too. Leaving me alone. And since i'm alone, why don't i try to meet them again right? A reunion perhaps? I love you all. Be bright. Be happy.

Mabilis na tumayo si Lynx sa kinauupuan niya na sinundan naman ni Bradley bago sundan ng lahat. Nasa kusina na sila nang pigilan ni Joey ang nga babae na may seryosong ekspresyon. He gulped and shook his head.

The girls started to cry and a tear unexpectedly fell from Lynx's eye when he saw her. Lumingon si Bradley sa babaeng tinuring niyang kapatid sa mga taong nakalipas. The room was in complete silence not until Joey spoke.

"I thought she was only joking when she said that she's so lonely and afraid. I didn't know." tahimik nilang pinagmasdan ang katawan ni Bright na nakahandusay sa sahig ng kusina na naliligo sa sarili niyang dugo. Until Bradley broke down.

"I thought i was enough to make her happy. But i guess i wasn't."

"I should've prioritize her when she told me she have problems. I thought it was alright." napakagat labi si Mae.

"I thought, she was okay. She often tells me that. But she wasn't okay. She was suffering." Melany spoke. Lynx stood up and faced all of them with a smile.

"Stop grieving. She doesn't want this expression. Be bright. Be happy. Hindi ba? Call the ambulance. Asap."

Ngunit sa likod ng ngiting iyon ang pagsisisi at kalungkutan. Pinanghahawakan nalang niya ang motto ni Bright.
