You're Still Mine

Chapter 14

It was already 1:30 pm when Derek, Alice and Rachel arrived at Dawn's house. They noticed that the gate was still closed, and thought that Vice and Dawn didn't arrive yet.

"Mukang wala pa sila ah." Derek said.

"Oo nga eh. Nakasara pa ang gate." Alice answered. "Rach, gusto mo bang lumipat doon sa loob para makahiga ka ng maayos? Wala naman ng tao doon."

"Hindi pa po ba tayo papasok kayla tita? Andito na po tayo sa bahay nila eh."

"Nakasara pa yung gate eh, let's wait for them."

Rachel just nod at her mom and went inside, so she could sleep comfortably.

"Text mo kaya si Vice." Derek suggested.

"Oo ito, tinetext ko na nga. Si Dawny hindi natin maco-contact kasi nag text si Richard, lowbat daw phone ni Dawny eh. Si Richard naman ayaw ng sumagot."

Minutes had passed before another van arrived.

"Oh ayan na pala yung sasakyan nila Vice." Derek said and they both got off from their van and head towards the other van.

It opened as Vice got off and saw Alice and Derek.

"Kanina pa kayo jan?" Vice asked them.

"Hindi naman, halos magkasunod lang nga tayo." Alice said.

"Kuya salamat sa pag hatid ha. Paki hatid nadin yung iba, then if nakabalik na po kayo sa hotel paki inform po ako ha, salamat." Vice said as he wave goodbye to them. "Oh tara sa loob mainit dito." He added and opened the gate.

Derek went back to the van and drove it inside and pick up Rachel who's still asleep. When they entered Alice and Vice sat down on the couch while Derek followed them inside.

"Usog kayo hon, ibaba ko si Rachel. Tulog na eh." He said as he gently put her down on the couch. "Sige mag pahinga muna kayo, ako nang bahala sa mga gamit." He added and went back outside to get their things.

Richard and Dawn was still on the roads. Since Dawn doesn't like to tell him stories about her, Richard was the one telling her a lot of stories so she wouldn't get bored.

"Alam mo sa aming apat nila Joey, John at Anjo, si John ang pinakababaero noon..."

She cut him off, "Hindi ba ikaw?"

"Ako? Hindi ah mabait kaya ako."

"Hmm okay sabi mo eh."

"Si John ang pinakababaero noon, pero ngayon sobrang tapat nun sa asawa niya."

"Kasal na siya?"

"Oo, last last year lang. Si anjo naman, 4 years ago nung kinasal din siya."

"Eh si Amy naman kamusta?" She said as she faced him.

"Ayun kasal na sila ni Joey. 3 years after mong umalis kinasal sila."

"Talaga? So mga kasal na pala kayo."

"Ako? Hindi pa ako kasal noh."

"Wag mo nga akong lokohin, kasal ka na."

"Hala, hindi nga ako kasal. Ayan oh wala akong wedding ring." He said as he showed her his hands.

"Baka tinanggal mo lang. Basta alam ko kasal ka na kaya huwag mo na akong lokohin."

"Paano mo ba nalaman yan? Binabantayan mo ako noh?" He teased her.

"Hindi ah, nabalitaan ko lang." She said it as an excuse.

"So nakikibalita ka pala tungkol sa akin nung mga panahong umalis ka."

"Hindi, nasabi lang sakin. Pero hindi ko intensyong makialam sa nangyayari sa buhay mo." She explained.

"Aray ha, para mo namang sinabing wala ka ng pakielam sakin."

"Bakit dapat ba meron pa?"

"Dawn seryosong usapan nga, hanggang ngayon ba galit ka padin sakin?"

"Hindi na noh, ang tagal na nun Richard. Kalimutan na natin, pareho naman na tayong naka move on."

"Gusto mo mag paliwanag ako sayo ngayon? Kasi baka may galit ka pa eh. Para lang okay na tayo sa isa't isa. Gusto kong mapatawad mo 'ko eh."

"Hindi na kailangan, sabi ko nga tapos na yun. Okay naman na tayong dalawa. Wag na nating pag usapan pa." She said as she felt the pain again.

After 8 years, both of them still feel the pain and regrets because of their past mistakes. Richard wanted to explain his side to Dawn so badly, but Dawn didn't let him. She seems like she's still not ready to hear his explanations, thinking that it might be a lie again.

"Oh andito na pala tayo." Richard said as he stopped the car.

"Asan tayo?" Dawn asked him as she tried to look around on the window.

"Halika baba tayo." He said as they both got off the car. "Hindi mo ba natatandaan ang lugar na ito?"

Once again, Dawn looked around and saw the taal lake. The cold breeze was hitting her body, and gave her shivers.

"Oh suotin mo itong jacket, lalamigin ka jan sa sleeveless na suot mo." Richard said and offered her his jacket.

"Bakit tayo nandito? Akala ko ihahatid mo na ako pauwi."

"Ayaw mo ba? Saglit lang naman tayo dito."

"After ng beach, lake naman?"

"Ngayon na lang kasi ulit kita nadala dito eh. Tara doon tayo sa favorite spot mo." He said as he hold Dawns hand.

They sat on the bench facing the taal lake.

"Dawn, dinala kita dito kasi I want to talk with you."

Dawn just listen to him and did not bother to say a word.

"Please Dawn sana mapatawad mo ako. Hanggang ngayon pinagsisisihan ko padin lahat ng ginawa ko sayo. Kasalanan ko naman talaga lahat eh, inaamin ko yun. Pero sabi mo nga, mag move on na tayo kaya Dawn kapatawaran mo lang ang kailangan ko."

"Richard sabi ko naman sayo hindi mo na kailangan pang mag explain. Nag kamali ka , nag sorry ka, at napatawad na kita. Let's just move on please."

"Can we go back to the way we used to be? Kahit bilang friend mo lang tatanggapin ko."

"Pwede naman, bakit hindi. Tutal before tayo naging in a relationship we used to be great friends diba."

"Salamat." Richard said as he hugged her tight. "Oh walang malisya, yakap lang bilang pasasalamat sa pagkakaibigan."

After she heard those words, she felt happy and hugged him back. They stayed on that positioned until Dawn notice Richard.

"Umiiyak ka ba?" She asked and withdraw from their hug. She hold his face and smiled. "Bakit ka umiiyak?"

"Masaya lang ako, dahil binigyan mo ulit ako ng pag kakataong maging parte ng buhay mo."
