You're Still Mine

Chapter 26

"Hindi ka ba uuwi sa inyo?" Dawn asked Richard as she sat on the side of her bed.

"Babantayan nga kita diba, tsaka walang tao doon. Umalis asawa ko." He lied (about his wife because he doesn't have lol.)

"Alam niyang nandito ka?"

"Oo wag mo ng problemahin yun. Mag pahinga ka na."

"Eh ikaw saan ka?"

"Bakit gusto mo tabihan kita?" He naughtily said.

"Hindi no. Doon ka sa sofa."

"Sige usog ko na lang dito yung sofa sa tabi mo, para kapag may kailangan ka matatawag mo agad ako."

They both laid on their places, Dawn checked her phone if Rowell texted her before she sleep but there's none. Richard on the other hand was laying beside her on a couch, browsing his social media account.

Time passed by so fast and it was already 2:30am. It's still raining outside and Richard can't sleep. But Dawn already had fallen asleep. Richard was watching Dawn from time to time and checking her temperature when suddenly Dawn started shaking.

"Dawn okay ka lang?" He gently asked.

"Sobrang lamig." She hardly speak.

"Checked ko temperature mo ha. Off ko na din yung aircon." Richard then turned off the aircon. He get the thermometer from Dawn and checked it. "Ang taas ng lagnat mo. Sandali, ikukuha kita ng patch pati gamot."

He went downstairs as fast as he can to get medicine and cool fever patch.

"Oh inumin mo itong gamot. Tapos inom ka mainit na tubig para mainitan ka ng konti." He hand her the medicine and mug. "Anong nararamdaman mo? Nanginginig ka padin."

"Ni-lalamig a-ako."

"Oh ito ibalot mo na yang comforter mo. Lagay ko na yung patch sa noo mo ha."

He waited a minute if she would stopped from shaking but she didn't.

"Dawn wag kang ganyan, pinapakaba mo ako."

"Rich ang sakit ng ulo ko. Sobrang lamig."

"Ito lagyan ko ng ointment yung ulo mo. Dawn sponge bath na kita para bumaba yung lagnat mo ha. Sandali lang."

Richard get a basin and fill it with lukewarm water. He went back to Dawn and started giving her sponge bath for about 30mins until Dawn stopped from shaking.

"Kamusta anong nararamdaman mo?" He asked but she did not answer. "Huy Dawn ano? Okay ka na ba?"

"Sobrang lamig, ang sakit ng ulo ko."

"Hala anong nangyayari sayo?" He hold her hands which was cold as an ice and tried to warm it. Richard then took off his shirt and sat beside Dawn. "Humiga ka sakin para mainitan ka." He said.

He covered her with his arms and body, trying to warm her. They stayed on that position until Dawn fell asleep. He let her head rest at his chest as he hugged her tightly.

Monday (8:30 am)

Richard woke up and saw that Dawn was still sleeping on his chest. He put his palm on her forehead to checked if she was still hot. He carefully moved her so he can stand up. He then went downstairs to prepare for breakfast.

After an hour he finished cooking. He put all the food on a tray then went back to Dawn's room. He put the tray on the side table and wake up Dawn.

"Good Morning, Kain na tayo Dawn para makainom ka ulit ng gamot."

Dawn carefully opened her eyes and looked at Richard. Richard helped her to sit up on her bed so they could eat.

"Good Morning, andito ka padin pala."

"Oo naman diba sabi ko hindi ako aalis hangga't may lagnat ka."

"Thank you ha, thank you din kagabi."

"Walang problema, halika kumain na tayo."

Dawn was sitting on the couch at the living room watching tv while Richard was busy with his phone.

"Rich wala kang pasok ngayon?"

"Meron, pero si Ton na muna ang bahala sa opisina huwag kang mag alala."

"Ah okay."

"Dawn, labas lang ako saglit ha. Bibilhan kita ng gamot."

"Sige sama ako."

"Huwag na baka mabinat ka, dito ka na lang saglit lang naman ako."

"Okay sige, mag ingat ka."

Richard went outside leaving Dawn. She turned off the tv and get her phone. She looked at her phone if she got any text message. She then browse her email.

Almost half an hour passed when Dawn heard a doorbell. She went outside to looked if that was Richard but she saw a taxi cab. She wandered who that was.

Dawn opened the gate, revealing Rowell.

"Rowell!" She said as she hugged her. "Andito ka na."

"Oo sabi ko naman sayo pupuntahan kita diba. Hindi ko nasagot yung mga text mo kahapon kasi nasa eroplano padin ako."

"Okay lang halika sa loob. Ah kuya patulong na lang po si Rowell na mag buhat ng gamit niya sa loob. Salamat po."

They went inside and the driver helped in carrying Rowell's luggages. Before the driver leaved Rowell gave him the payment.

"Upo ka muna Rowell."

"Halika nga dito namiss kita, pakiss naman ako." He said as he kissed her.

"Bakit hindi mo sinabi na ngayon ka uuwi?"

"Para isurprise ka. Sorry pala kung nagalit ka nung last na usap natin ha. Palusot ko lang yun para hindi ka mag hinala na pupunta na ko dito."

"Ikaw talaga, hindi maganda yun ha. Pinag isip mo ako."

"Teka nga mainit ka ata."

"Oo kagabi pa ko nilalagnat eh."

"Ah ganun ba sige umupo ka muna jan, kumain ka na ba?"

"Oo kumain na ko."

They we're talking when suddenly Richard arrived.

"Dawn ito na yung gamot mo." He said but got shocked when he looked at them.

"Richard Gomez, right?" Rowell said.

"Oo bakit?" Richard confusedly asked.

"I'm Rowell, Dawn's boyfriend." He said and lend his hand for a formal handshake. "Just incase na hindi mo alam."
