"Jaxon!" Mrs. Parker yelled in excitement, rushing to the front door. I followed behind her as she unlocked it and swung it open, pulling the tall ginger into her arms.
Jaxon let out a chuckle before wrapping his arms around her petite frame, embracing her.
"Hey ma." He murmured, pulling away.
"Jaxon! I'm so glad you're back! Come in, I made you hot chocolate!" Mrs. Parker exclaimed, pulling him in by his sleeve and shutting the door.
Jax then looked up and saw me for the first time, causing him to smile brightly. "Eris! Hey! Long time no see!"
I smiled, waving at him. "Hey Jax."
We all walked into the kitchen and Mrs. Parker handed him his hot choclate.
"My favorite!" Jax said, taking a long sip. "Where's dad and Killian?"
"You're father is showering but he'll be down soon." Mrs. Parker explained. "I'm not sure about Killian though.
"He's in his room." I said, looking at my hands.
Mrs. Parker huffed. "How rude of him not to come and say hi."
Jax shrugged. "He's probably taking a dump or something."
His stepmother shot him a weird look before speaking. "So anyway, tell me about this girl you've been seeing. What's her name?"
Jax smiled at the thought of her. "Her name is Emora. She's Eris's roommate."
"Oh! Wonderful! Both of my boy's girlfriends must be friends already."
Jax shot me a grin. "They are friends ma but they're nobody's girlfriends... yet."
I gasped and Jax shot me a look. "What? Don't tell me that's not true."
"Yeah, yeah..." I mumbled looking away sadly. I wasn't sure if that would happen anymore, Killian seemed pretty mad earlier.
"Hey are you alright sweety?" Mrs. Parker asked, noticing my sudden change of mood.
I nodded. "I think I'm going to go back to my room if that's alright."
Both Jax and Mrs. Parker told me goodnight but continued their chatter once I left the room. I made my way upstairs and just as I reached my door, Killian's door opened and I jumped in surprise, turning to look at him. He looked like he was about to go downstairs or something, probably to greet Jax. He was shirtless but wore his signature back ripped jeans, sagging with his Gucci belt holding them against his hips. His hair was slightly messy and he appeared a little tired but that didn't make him look any less attractive.
This boy could probably still look good wearing a trash bag.
I decided to take advantage of the situation and opened my mouth to speak but just as I did, Killian slammed the door shut again, taking me out of his view.
I sighed, giving up and turning back around to enter my room. I grabbed a pair of undergarments from my closet as well as a long T-shirt with some black compression shorts. Since I had nothing better to do I might as well take a shower and then go to sleep. I quietly slipped into the bathroom, placing my clothes onto a counter and reaching under the sink cabinet to retrieve a towel. I then turned to the shower which was fairly large and had a translucent glass door. I opened it and turned on the water to its highest heat.
Next, I pulled my hair out of it's ponytail and quickly undressed, slipping into the water and enjoying its warmth. I didn't take long, quickly lathering my body with soap and scrubbing my scalp clean with my fingers and shampoo. After, I rinsed and conditioned my hair, before exiting the shower and redressing.
