Chapter 18: New Arrivals

After the night was over, and it was top of the morning, Ember woke up before Royce and looked towards the beautiful sunrise. Then to have Royce while Ember's staring at the sunrise.

Royce: "Beautiful sunrise, isn't it?" Royce asked the pink Dragoness, Ember.

Ember: "Yeah, it is..."

Royce: "Did I scare you, or is there something bothering you?"

Ember: "You surprised me, but you didn't scare me. Also it's time to leave this place~"

Royce: "And do what, return to the Academy?"

Ember: "Yeah..."

Royce: "Well... If so, I gotta go and ask my parent's if they'll accept Tiffany into teaching her some of their Elements. 'If' they will."

Ember: "'IF'?! They're your parents! I'm sure they'll let their grand-child in on the family business."

Royce: "Family business? What's the family business?"

Ember: "It's more of a tradition than a business, ever since the War ended."

Royce: "Tradition? Family business? What is it? Tell me, the tension's getting to me!" Hearing this, Ember quickly grabbed him with the smoother ends of her Katana-tail. "What~ what are you doing?"

Ember: "Get ready for a ride back to War~Fang!!"

Royce: "Whaaaaaaat thhhhe F********!!!? Do we have to be above Thirty-Five-Hundred Feet!?!!" Royce questioned Ember, before putting on his P.B.A. (Which was improved upon by Mincy.) "Mwaahh." As he breathed in and out with labored breathing, then slowed down, normalizing as a result.

Ember: "Are you better now??" Ember asked the somewhat panicking human.

Royce: "Yeeeaaaahhh!!! I'm fine."

Ember: "We're more than half-way to War-Fang!"

Royce: "Awwsomme!!"

Ember: "The ride or the time!?" Ember asked, not knowing what Royce meant, thinking one or the other.

Royce: "BOTH!" he replied.

Ember: "OKay, here's a heads-up: War-Fang, ETA: 5 minutes!"

Royce: "Thank the Ancestors!!"

Ember: "What?! Do you hate flying?"

Royce: "NO! It's just~ Aargh, you wouldn't understand!"

Ember: "Sure I would! You're one of my best friends, even if I'm crazy over you!" Hearing this from Ember made Royce blush hardly. But didn't change what he was going to say.

Royce: "OKay. Thing is... I'm afraid of heights, not flying."

Ember: "Oh... I~ I didn't know that. Was that before you knew you were a Dragon?"

Royce: "Yeah." Royce answered.

Ember: "Well, we're here!" Ember let Royce go, and told him to "Go spend some time with his daughter."

Royce: "Do you... Mind if you like... Walk with me? I kinda like company."

Ember: "No. I don't mind since I LOVE you!!"

Royce: "Oh boy...!" As he blushed out of embarrassment.

Then the duo walked into the Academy, only for Royce and Ember to see 2 of the newest students. Only for 1 of the students to evoke/provoke a negative reaction at the sight of her, but Royce decided to "play it cool".
