Chapter 58: 4TH Of July Special III!

As soon as Royce was released from Flashie's "Royal Hospital," they (Royce, Cynthia and Kelly) returned back to War-Fang, where they saw the citizens of War-Fang purchasing all sorts of explosives which surprised Royce (and scared him a bit).

After asking one lone Draconic citizen whom was buying "explosives," he found out that the citizens were in fact buying fireworks. So Royce then decides to seek out Ember, the first Dragoness whom he introduced the idea of fireworks to, with Cynthia and Kelly close behind.

Eventually, Royce was able to find Ember... selling fireworks.

Royce: "Selling fireworks, eh Ember?"

Ember: "Before you say anything: No, these aren't illegally sold explosives, I've been given permission to sell these."

Cynthia: "Under whose authority?" Cynthia questioned the teenage Fire-Dragoness.

Terrador: "Under our authority, since you were out and gone, we stepped in and took over."

Royce: "What about the financials, err~ I mean the finances?!"

Cyril: "The Honor's Club will take care of this City's finances. While you be under constant guard from your bodyguard, Kelly, here. Also, and unfortunately, you cannot and will not be able to interact with your family members, due to combustibility issues."

Royce: "What are you talking about? I was cleared by the Doctor up in the Windy City!"

Volteer: "Are you sure, Mr.DeBarry?"

Royce: "YES, err~ yes Master Volteer..."

Volteer: "We are aware of your physical recovery. If you're not going to listen to reason then maybe you'll listen to this," Volteer said as he applied a small amount of Satie's poison onto Royce's skin, causing immense pain, while also surprising his Guardian colleagues, "now then, Kelly, take Royce to the Infirmary, tell them to treat his Burn, I also want him to wear a cast on his left arm while he fully recovers and finally, I want you and personally YOU to over-see Royce's protection. Is that understood?" The Electric Guardian questioned Kelly as she didn't defy Volteer and only obeyed his orders.

Once Kelly escorted Royce to the Infirmary, Winter immediately antiseptic, some anti-bacterial and then a cast onto Royces' Burns. Then Winter noticed the part of Royce's Lymph noses (left side) felt a bit swollen and decided to have it checked out.

Winter: "In a week from now, I'm going to do another check-up, while you, Kelly, watch over him. For protection... and while he recovers."

Kelly: "Yes Ma'am..." Kelly said to Winter with respect as she escorted Royce back to his room.

1 Hour Later...

Kelly: Can you teach me how to set, I mean handle fireworks seeing that they're a new thing around here?"

Royce: "Yeah, it's simple," Royce then begins explaining to the Ex-Siamese Mercenary all the way until it was night. "Cynthia, you want to watch the fireworks?"

Cynthia: "NO! I don't want to, I mean I do but not without you."

Royce: "Still, you can go in without me, you're your own person. You know that right?"

Cynthia: "Yes I know! Stop reminding me, please."

Royce: "Well... since no one wants to leave and go see the fireworks personally, why not we just stay here and watch them, together, from the windows?" Royce asked the duo whom then agreed in sync, "Good, because due to my crippling injury, I can't do ANYTHING relating to participation of lightning of the fireworks!"

Later that night, Royce, Cynthia and Kelly watched the fireworks all the way until 12:01 A.M.. Even Hunters from both Astra and Seliana came to watch the Dragon's form of fireworks.
