Chapter 19: Nova's 19TH Birthday!

The Next Day...

Kristigia: "POSSIBLE SECURITY RISKS?! C'mon Winter, you know me. I'm one of your friends! Please let me in."

Winter: "Sorry, but those are the Guardians instructions and I would lose what I love. Not to mention; MY JOB!! But like I said; that kid~"

Kristigia: "Nova. Nova's his name."

Winter: "'Nova' here, is allowed to see him, why? I don't know, but the rules are the rules." Winter told Kristigia, resulting her being speechless.

Kristigia: "Fine; Nova, go see your friend!"

Nova: "Uhh... thanks?" Nova replied in questioning Kristigia before visiting Royce's personal recovery room (brig).

Nova: "Whoa! That's a TERRIBLE wound! I'm sure he won't be able to walk for a while with that broken pelvis." Nova thought to himself.

Royce: "Yeah... you know I heard you, right Nova? Anyway, Ember~" Royce said, attempting to finish his sentence but was cut off by Nova.

Nova: "Ember? Who's that?"

Royce: "Kristigia's best friend, and my current nurse practitioner who's aiding in my recovery." Royce responded towards Nova, whom smiled at Royce while Ember holding a syringe filled with pain-killers and sedatives. She then took the sedative-infused pain-killers smiled at him, put the syringe up against his skin, stuck it in, then injected the contents into him, causing him to become droopy, sleepy and sluggish. Before passing out.

Nova: "HEY! What're you doing to my friend!?! And hurting my friend on my Birthday?"

Ember: "Your Birthday? Well Happy Hatch-Day, now please leave, I have a patient to tend to." Ember replied as Nova left the room, leaving Nova depressed and uneasy.

Nova: "He passed out on me, then I had to leave so this 'Nurse' named 'Ember' told me she needed to~ and I quote 'Give him Sedatives-Infused pain-killers', then I saw him starting to act... strange. Why?"

Kristigia: "Well... you see, when Ember likes or loves somebody, she tends to give them quite a bit of sedatives and pain-killers... A little more than intended, as to being love-struck." Kristigia replied before laughing.

Nova: "Really? Because from what I seen, that is EXACTLY what I saw!" Nova stated.

Kristigia: "Well then... I can't do anything more for him. All we can do now is wait and hope for the best to happen." Kristigia said, without hope.

"Nova: Soo... what now?" Nova asked Kristigia, trying to make conversation.

Kristigia: "Do whatever we want, apparently." Kristigia said.

Nova: "Like what?"

Kristigia: "Lunch; It's almost lunchtime, but since the bell's destroyed, I can take you there, it starts any moment!"

Nova: "Wow! You've read my mind, Kristigia!"

Kristigia: "You know I'm hungry too, right?"

Nova: "I guess so. Plus you've always had a bigger appetite than me." Nova said, Kristigia heard Nova's 'Big Appetite' comment, but decided to ignore his sarcasm. After Nova was done with his sarcastic attitude and Kristigia's eating habits, the two walked to the cafeteria together with the occasional chatter.
