Chapter 29: The Experimental Serum!

After the married couple; Phoebe and Royce were done on their 4th of July Honeymoon, the duo returned back to the Candy Kingdom. For Phoebe to check up on the Experimental Serum Peebs has been working on. While also being aided by Cynthia and Ruby.

Cynthia: "Are you sure that your friend is capable of regaining my, err~ Royce's powers? Ruby?" Cynthia asked the Espeon.

Ruby: "Yes, I am sure. My Master is capable of many things; Medicines, potions, superior intelligence, anything, and I mean ANYTHING!! She's also capable of reversing certain, if not most aliments!" Ruby explained how well-rounded Peebs was at lots of different criteria.

Peebs: "Royce..." Peebs gets the Experimental Serum ready. "Are you ready? According to your wife, this Serum is full of the necessary Mutagens your body and blood possesses... I don't know what reintroducing these Mutagens back into your body will do, who know what effect or effects will happen." Peebs explained, only for Royce to nod and accept the risk as a result.

7.6.2019

Royce: "I'll~ I'll take the risk... for my Princess. To become my old self again. I'd be VERY appreciative if I had my old Fire Resistance back, even if it meant being back with my family; my kids and my wife, and those around me that are here to support me." After Royce was done making his touching/touchy speech, Royce's children; Flamer and Flambe come in on flaming fireballs before they settled down back into their Human-Flame form. The first one to talk was Royce's daughter: Flambe.

Flambe: "Dad, do you really think your powers are really worth your life? What if it leaves you all... ALL MESSED UP?! Like what if you try to attempt to kill us?" Hearing this made Royce consider his options VERY carefully, knowing what type of influence his powers had on his mental state of mind. Then for his Son to begin speaking up and about what was on his mind about the Experimental Serum.

Flamer: "Can I tell you what is on my mind, or is this not up discussion? Cause from what I've seen, you act very irrationally when you're *angry* from that Convexity thing you possess. But my point is... there has to be anther way to activate your Elemental abilities without having Convexity turn you into some sort of... how do I say this: SOME SORT OF EGOMANIC!!! Although I DO support you." Flamer explained to his father.

Royce: "Peebs, administer the Serum, I'm ready." Royce told the Candy Princess as she got the Serum ready for injection.

Peebs: "Alright, here I go, administering Serum," Peebs injects the contents into Royce's bloodstream via hypo-dermic needle. After several minutes of silence, Peebs decided to question Royce on his well-being. "So... how do you feel? Any strange feelings? Pains? Aches? Any changes in your mental state?..." Peebs continued to bombard Royce with question after question after question.

Royce: "Nothing, absolutely nothing at all!" Royce told Peebs as he examined his hands as if something happened to them.

Phoebe: "Are you OKay Honey?" Phoebe noticed Royce still examining his hands while swaying them left and right, under the influence of the Experimental Serum. "He's hallucinating, isn't he Peebs?"

Peebs: "It's mild for now. Let's just hope it stays that way!"

Phoebe: "HOPE?!? YOU BETTER MAKE SURE HE DOESN'T LOSE HIS COOL, CAUSE IF HE... Hold on... cause if he doesn't stay sane, he'll go on a destructive rampage that's/are worst/worse than mine!"

Peebs: "OKay, OKay! So there aren't really any major side effects. Besides his temporary hallucinations, there really isn't much to worry about." Peebs told Phoebe as she got back to thinking, "Hey Phoebe, when your Kids mentioned 'Convexity', is that something that I 'should' be worried about?"
