Chapter 59: A Request from Astra...

The Next Morning...

After the trio enjoyed the fireworks, and it was the next morning, Royce wakes up with his Chemically Burned arm and screamed out in pain. With Royce screaming loud enough, Cynthia woke up, and Kelly woke up in a panic and rushed towards Royces' room.

Kelly: "ROYCE, ARE YOU OKAY, IS SOMEONE IN THERE WITH YOU?" Kelly yelled while also banging on the door before bashing through it thinking Royce was in serious danger.

5 minutes later...

Kelly: "Well... since the 3 of us are already awake, might as well have breakfast, no? Here, I'll escort the 2 of you to the Cafeterium to grab a quick bite."

Royce: "Cafe-ow-terium?"

Kelly: "I meant Cafeteria, look, there's this new thing where the Humans are allowed to go to the Cafeteria before anyone else and I'm hungry!"

Cynthia: "ME TOO," Cynthia said with enthusiasm, "I'm hungry."

Both Ex-Siamese Cat Mercenary and Sylveon said as they escorted and provided company to the injured Royce.

Meanwhile, at the Cafeteria...

As soon as Royce, Kelly and Cynthia arrived at the Cafeteria, they saw the humans congregating around a table, along with Kristigia and Aurora. When Kristigia turned her attention from her boyfriend: Nova, and towards Royce, she was shocked to see Royce wearing a cast.

Kristigia: "Mind if I ask?"

Royce: "Don't! Not in the mood. All I want to do right *winces in pain* right now is eat some breakfast! Cynthia, Kelly, can one of you help feed me," Royce then begins mumbling to himself, "man, this is embarrassing!"

Kelly: "Fine," Kelly says as she voluntarily puts her plate of breakfast down and helps to feed Royce, "open wide."

1 Hour Later...

A messenger from Astra comes in looking for Royce.

Messenger: "Excuse me," the messenger wanted the cafeteria, which of course she did get, "does anyone know where Royce is," then the entire Cafeteria pointed towards Royce, "thank you!" She then approached the table Royce is eating at. "Sir Royce, the Commander of Astra has requested your assistance. It is of up-most importance!"

Royce: "Is it more important than~" the Messenger then immediately brought out the paper meant for Royce before handing it to him, "We need immediate help! Only YOU can help us with this Quest. Apparently our Sapphire Star has came down with a mysterious illness and a new Monster has appeared!" Royce said while reading the note aloud, "Kelly get your stuff ready, we're going to leave in a few hours, you Messenger Dragoness, we'll need transportation, think you could provide it?"

Messenger Dragoness: "Now why would I, A Messenger, help you: Royce DeBarry: A human whom is more than capable of flying himself?!"

Royce: "One of my wings is severely crippled, and therefore, I cannot fly!"

Messenger Dragoness: "Fiiiine, but I leave in 30 minutes!"

Royce: "Thank you! I'll make sure you'll get paid twice as much for the service you are doing!"

Messenger Dragoness: "Really?!"

Kelly: "He has a way with words. In fact he was able to 'convince' my Sisters and I to surrender, he even spared my life and didn't send me straight to prison!" Hearing this seemed to confuse the Messenger Dragoness before looking to Royce for assurance.

Royce: "She was a Mercenary, she was a Scout for her group and they were paid to 'take me out'!"

Kelly: "... And that is why I am, I mean work for him since he spared me the Death Penalty, so now: I work for him as his body-guard!"

Messenger Dragoness: "Interesting, very interesting..."

2 Minutes Later and after Dressing...

Royce: "Kelly, we'll need to keep our eyes open and our minds sharp, it's not like it is here in War-Fang, the area around Astra is EXTREMELY dangerous, trust me. I know the area, figure I tell you just in case!"

Kelly: "Thanks for the heads up!"

The two then leave to head back to meet up with the Messenger Dragoness, having Cynthia to return back to their room.

Messenger Dragoness: "You two certainly took your sweet time! Say, where's your little pink friend?"

Royce: "Leaving her behind, I have a feeling that this outta get messing, right?"

Messenger Dragoness: "Not allowed to disclose any other details besides the illness and that sighting, sorry."

Royce: "Hold on, before I leave, I need to make a call..." Royce then begins dialing the Captain's phone number which of course she answers, "Captain, I need you to give me a report." Carmelita then hangs on the phone call and rushes towards the War-Fang Academy, wondering what kind of trouble Royce was in this time.

As soon as Carmelita showed up before Royce, she saw the Ex-Mercenary, Kelly, and the Messenger Dragoness beside him.

Carmelita: "Fire-Guardian-Royce, is everything ok? Oh, your arm, you need help?"

Royce: "Yes I do, I don't just need Kelly's protection, but yours too!"

Carmelita: "Why? Is it that important?"

Royce: "I have a feeling, say, Miss..." referring to the Messenger Dragoness, "how much can you carry? On your back?"

Messenger Dragoness: "4, why? Wait! You don't expect me to carry you 3, now do you?!"

Royce: "Remember that money-talk we had Miss?"

Messenger Dragoness: "Uh, fine! You 3, hop on!"

1 Hour Later...

Royce: "Carmelita, Kelly, we've made it! Now Miss, where's the Commander?"

Commander: "Ahh... it seems as though you have gotten my message..." Royce approaches the Commander and whispers into his ear, "oh yes, it'll be done, she'll get paid nicely!" The Commander said out loud.

Royce: "What is that Request that you were in desperate need of? Seeing that it is MORE important than my critically injured and chemically burned arm?"

Commander: "Not to worry, it's just an Investigation, all you need to do is confirm sightings and identify mysterious being in the area (Rotten Vale) that's all."

Royce: "This is the 'Request'?"

Commander: "Yes."
