Chapter 16: A Temporary Vacation

Royce: "A loner, eh? Thanks Winter!" Royce told Winter as he traveled all the way down the 300 Hall, until he reached Room 304, knocked on the door, but to have no one respond. "Ember?! Are you in there?! I'm coming in!!" As he entered the female Dragoness' room, he didn't see anything, but his heightened senses were going crazy. "What the? Something just isn't... right..." as he looked up, he saw Ember on the ceiling and as a result, was nearly crushed by the pink Dragoness' rear.

Ember: "SURPRISE!!!"

Royce: "EMBER! Get... off... of me!"

Ember: "Say 'Please', and explain why you're in my room!"

Royce: "OKay! OKay! I'll tell you!" Royce said as he began to explain why he was there. "I was sent here by Winter. She advised me to come here and maybe 'hang out', she also told me you were going through some serious depression. Maybe you~" She gets off him. "Would like to talk about it?"

Ember: "Please. I've been having too much weight on my wings lately. The pressure,... It's been too much lately. Plus, I have something important to tell you, but you have to promise me not to tell anyone this: I never knew my mother, but my father was the Dark Master."

Royce: "The Dark who??"

Royce: "Ember..." Royce sits up onto Ember's bed and wraps an arm around her. "That's the past! Don't worry about it, no one cares about it, it's over!"

Royce: "By the way: this is OUR little secret about the past; no one will know. NO ONE! Oh, and by the way, I was also needing to ask you if you wanted to join me and my mom?."

Ember: "Like what, a hunting party?"

Royce: "No, even better, sight-seeing!!"

Royce: "QUIT WORRYING! It's over. There's nothing to worry about anymore. We're friend's, remember?"

Ember: "Oh, yeah, forgot about that! Now, let me gather my gear~ What you're about to see; you cannot tell anyone about this: *A hidden door opens up* Magical Dark Armor; dangerous in the wrong hands.

Royce: "'Magical Dark Armor', what's that?" Royce asked the pink Dragoness.

Ember: "Magical Dark Armor: Made from Dark Crystals, and created by my father for his personal use. Fortunately for me, he also made some for me." Ember explained to the human Fire Guardian.

Royce: "GREAT! Now let's get going, I don't want mom to go on without us." Royce said as Ember put on the armor and left the room with Royce.

Cynder: "I see you two are done? Now let's get going! First destination: The Dam." Cynder said with enthusiasm.

Ember: "Wasn't that destroyed during the War?"
