To catch up on what happened last Chapter: "An Enemy Now A Friend," (4TH of July Special), Royce manages to escape from The Terror of The Skies and Ember while also learning that he was the next Purple Dragon in line to bring upon the World's destruction.
When Royce escaped Dante's Freezer, and learned of important news involving (a) potential War, Royce flew towards the Draconic City of War-Fang as fast as his Wind Element would permit him to. Within minutes, residents were not only surprised but shocked to see their Human-Draconic Fire-Guardian shouting orders towards the City's' Walls defenders.
Carmelita: "Sir! You're here, where were you? Where's Ember and Ms.Cynder?"
Royce: "Prepare the troops for a Siege, She's planning to attack us soon! Tell the troops on the wall to man the guns and head to their battle-stations! I'm afraid our time of peace was short-lived. There is a new Dark-Master."
Carmelita: "Who is 'She', Royce? What's going on? What's this Dark-Master? Who is it?"
Royce: "Seriously Captain Carmelita Fox? What do you do in your free time? Continue working?"
Carmelita: "Yes," Inspector Fox answers to her superior, "I'm always and continuously putting the wall guards and infantry on high-alert; drills; training with weapons; live-ammunition; live-weapons and fire; Target-Practice and Accuracy and so on." Carmelita explained to Royce.
Royce: "When and if we survive this next Invasion, and I do mean IF, I'm putting you on Temporary Paid Leave. Effective IMMEDIATELY and is MANDATORY!"
Carmelita: "What is it? Hurry up, I need and got things to do!"
Royce: "I'm putting you on Temporary Paid Leave so you can learn from the City of War-Fang Draconic Archives. You are to study, learn and educate yourself about this City's' past events; History of the Purple Dragons; The Dark Master; Malefor; The Apes, and The Curse upon Them; The Chronicler; The Foreign Lands, and so on. I mean I want EVERYTHING!! Do I make myself clear Captain?"
Carmelita: "Yes Sir. Anything else?"
Royce: "If you or your men see a super-size form of Cynder, do not hesitate to Fire at Will; That isn't Cynder, it is the Terror of the Skies and arrest Ember; I have a warrant against the teenager. Capture Ember is your priority, kill her if necessary," the sudden change of voice and tone intimidated Carmelita, "Is that also understood?"
Carmelita: "Yes Sir," Carmelita understood and replied to her human friend before informing Royce that she will be readying the troops in the Defense of War-Fang. "I will inform the troops at once!" She said as she went her way to the top of the War-Fang City Walls. "Everyone, to your battle-stations! This is not a drill; I repeat: This is not a drill!"
City Guard: "Who's the enemy? I want answers!"
Carmelita: "There's an imminent attack on the City, now man your Station, Soldier!" Carmelita told the defiant Soldier, this time, using a more authoritative tone, "NOW! Or the Terror of The Skies will destroy this City!" She commanded the lone Soldier as the other City Wall Guards heard the name, they in turn, took the threat very seriously. "Huh... guess that name is not to be taken lightly." Carmelita replied to her inner-monologue. "Felix, get on the M45 .50Cal Quad! We'll need Anti-Air Cover," Carmelita shouted resulting in the male Snow Leopard rushing towards the new, and recently constructed Quad .50Cal AA emplacement, "I want it pointed towards the sky; Come on people, chop-chop! Someone, get on the 20 milli-meter Flakvierling!"
Wall Guard: "HE (High-Explosive) or AP (Armor-Piercing) Belts, Captain?"
Carmelita: "Mixed-Belts!"
Wall Guard: "Yes Ma'am! You heard the Lady, get to your positions!"
Meanwhile, with a local civilian...
Local Civilian: "What's going on? What's with all the shouting and yelling?"
Guard: "Don't worry civilian, everything's under control. Just basic drills, and procedures and weapons check. Live... weapons tests."
Carmelita: "*Carmelita sighs* Fire-Guardian Royce has requested of us to prepare for a potential invasion from Ember and The Terror of The Skies," Carmelita informed the Civilian as she passed by the Civilian before heading towards the War-Fang Archives.
