The Adventures of Royce!

Chapter 50: Ember Earns Her Innocence.

Now with Ember "purifying" her blood-line, she then paid her attention towards Venom whom immediately turned back into Royce (with Royce being the host and Venom being the vessel) whom then collapsed due to mental and physical shock. Ember walked over to the unconscious 21-year-old  and grabbed Royce and put her on her back, and began scouring the battlefield for a medic (Winter).

Winter: "He looks REALLY bad," Winter takes the battle-damaged and mind-broken 21-year-old back into War-Fangs ICU while Ember returned back into the fight. Seeing that there were PLENTY of Large Monsters left over and (that) she wanted in on some fun.

Meanwhile, in Intensive Care...

Winter: "Come on everyone, move it, MOVE IT!!," Winter yelled through medical personnel while carrying the unconscious 21-year-old and urging everyone to participate in more on-site battle-field medical treatment. "It's Okay Royce, you're gonna be okay, you're gonna be okay," Winter kept talking to herself as she began applying and inserting Intravenous (I.V.) fluids into Royce's arms showing no actual improvement on his status. Kristigia, on the other hand (along with Nova, Royce's family, Kristigia's child-hood Hunter friend and an instantly-recovered Song) stood right outside his room and Cynthia went in in-announced, spooking Winter and Cynthia wanting "results" from Royce's "Family", hoping not to make "The Call" to everyone that relations and relationships to the 21-year-old Human-Fire-Guardian,

Cynthia: "Sooo... Nurse, Doc, whatever~ will he live?" The Sylveon questioned the Ice Guardian's daughter with worry in her voice. Winter did a very coy, tiny smile.

Winter: "He'd be dead from such an impact by now, but he's hangin'... barely. I'd say this: Now might be the time to say your 'good-byes', I don't think he'll live through the night. And I'm going to go inform the Guardians..." Winter told the Sylveon as she left the ICU with tears in her eyes.

Cynthia: "NO! I can't lose my friend; my family, my Master. The one that has cared and loved me and been by my side for years," Cynthia talks to herself in outrage as she then walks out of the ICU and begins telling everyone the news. "I don't think he'll make it..." Cynthia said with sadness as everyone began hearing beeping and hearing silence from the machines. Resulting in many nurses and trained professionals rushing into Royce's ICU room and began (receiving) immediate-intensive care (mostly done with Red [Health] and Green [Energy] Gems). Therefore stabilizing the 21-year-old, barely, but just enough for recovery. And enough to put Royce out of ANY fighting ability or action.

Meanwhile, with Ember...

Ember: "Now that Royce's Safety is out of the question. Let me deal with these annoying Monsters! I hope he's alright!" Ember mentioned to herself  as she also mumbled in self-conflict.

Commander: "You, Ember! I need your help in disposing whatever remains are from these Monsters and whatever these things are. Care to help us?" The Commander of Astra asked Ember, wanting (some) extra assistance. The ending result ended up with Ember helping to assist the Fifth Fleet.

Meanwhile, back with Royce...

Royce: "Uhh~ my head! man, why does everyone hurt so badly, where am I, and why am I here?'

Winter: "You were critically and seriously injured in a fight. Lucky for you, Ember is the one that saved you. Although, you will NOT be in any condition to battle, fight or do anything for the next... 6 to 9 months."

Royce: "69 months?!"

Winter: "NO! 6 to 9 months."

Royce: "Is any of my family around?"

Winter: "You mean the group waiting outside? Yeah. They're outside."

Royce: "Bring them in, please."

Winter then left the ICU and went to fetch his "Family". Song was the first due to having a first-perfect relationship and was still (some-what) a girlfriend to the 21-year-old.

Song: "Royce, is that you?!" Song said, not believing her eyes.

That was until Royce spoke her name in what to her, felt like centuries.

Royce: "Song... I~ I thought you died. Wait, am I dead?!"

Song: "No. But I should've been, not you."

Royce: "What about the others?" Royce asked his old girl-friend as she left his room and brought the others that were outside waiting inside the ICU room.

Flamer & Flambe: "Daaaad!!!"

Phoebe: "The kids and I both thought we lost you! We all came to say our final words as we got The Call." Phoebe spoke to her husband as no one had any words to say. Cynthia was near the edge of breaking out in tears as everyone heard of someone making "The Call".

As everyone making their Final Wishes announced, Winter, the Guardians, the Commander of Astra, along with the Siamese Mercenaries, Kelly and Ember announce and pro-claim that the City of War-Fang is free of Monsters and invaders. (Also the humans that reside within the City walls shown up too.)

Song: "Doctor, Nurse, whatever you are... apologies. Will he fully recover?"

Winter: "He will recover, just now, you WILL have to be careful on how you speak to him, or it could be disasterous results. Unfortunately... Mrs.DeBarry, I need to speak to you outside... privately." as she follows after. "Song, I know you're going to HATE the news I'm going to give you *sighs*: NO FIRE and you can't be near him, including the kids. Now then *Winter hands Phoebe legal documents* this is LEGAL means of saying you can not be near Royce while he is recovering. So I'm putting him within Song's custody. Effective: Immediately!" Whether or not the Fiery Fire Princess whom didn't take to the news lightly, but enough that she was able to control her Elemental Matrix. Then Ember approached the two "conversing" females, interrupting them and wanting to know where Royce was, "Inside this room, Ember."

Ember: "Thanks Winter," Ember said as she entered the ICU room wanting to see how Royce was doing after getting his entire body slammed in by her father. Then Ember noticed others surrounding Royce but asked Cynthia how he was doing.

Cynthia: "Master's fine. He can talk... barely."

Royce: "Ember... why... you save me??"

Ember: "He might've been my father but that doesn't mean you didn't or don't deserve to live," Ember admitted her faults as she left a lone tear, "and that's NO EXCUSE for me doing that to you," Ember continued on as Royce did something that even Ember found surprising: A hug.

Royce: "Ember... Free... You Are."
