It was a typical Monday morning at Sunny Side Diner. The diner opened at 6am and by 8:30am, all the tables were full and Tinsley was working her ass off. Tinsley's best friend, Willow had called out as usual leaving Tinsley to run the morning shift alone.. again. This was the 2nd time this week. Willow was known for partying and not showing up to work. She literally did this 2 or 3 times a week. As much as Tinsley hated the extra work and knew she would be tired by the time her shift was over, she also needed the all the extra tips she could get. Having left a small town in rural North Carolina with everything she owned in a backpack and leaving her abusive boyfriend of 6 years, she was making her own way here in Charming. She was doing things her way and by her own rules.

Tinsley didn't want to be a waitress but with her limited job experience, waitressing was about the only thing anyone would hire her to do. That or porn and she wasn't that desperate for work. Up until moving to charming, all she had ever done was graduate high school, with honors I might add and cook and clean for Mason, he abusive ex boyfriend. It wasn't the best job by any means but it was keeping a roof over her head and food in her stomach. All things considered, she had it better that most people just starting off... and let's face it that's exactly what she was doing.

Finally, at around 9:45, things at the diner died down enough where she could step outside to smoke a cigarette. She was sitting on the bench outside the diner when she heard the rumble of motorcycles coming down Main Street. She didn't know why the sound gave her goosebumps every time she heard them. All she knew was that she wanted to hear it more often. As she took another drag of her cigarette, 3 Harley's pulled into the lot, rattling the windows as they parked. Tinsley had learned early on every member of SAMCRO. SAMCRO ran Charming and everyone in the twin knew it. The 3 that had pulled into the parking lot were Jax Teller, Opie Winston, and Juice Ortiz. Tinsley would be lying if she said these guys didn't intimidate her. Growing up all she had ever heard about bikers were how they were bad people. How they were murders, rapists, and things of the sort. Lost in her thoughts, she hadn't realized that the 3 guys were walking towards her and the diner until one of them was tapping her on the shoulder.

Tinsley nearly jumped out of her skin.

"Woah Darling. Didn't mean to scare ya" said Jax. "I'm not gonna hurt ya".

"I'm sorry Mr Teller, I was just lost in thought and you scared me" said Tinsley.

"Call me Jax... Tinsley" she said looking down at her name tag that was pinned on her yellow tank top.

"Ok Jax... what do you need?"

"Well, I was going to ask you if you had a light. My BIC died this morning and I forgot to stop and get one this morning" says Jax

"Umm, yea, sure... just bring it to me when you're done. I got to get back in there"

Tinsley headed back inside the diner. She went to the bathroom to wash her hands and caught herself checking her hair and makeup. Her strawberry blonde hair was pulled on top of her head in a pineapple bun and her makeup looked as if she had just put on. She had taken extra time this morning applying makeup just because he felt like it and good thing she did. The cat eye and nude eyeshadow combination she had chosen really made her green eyes pop. Tinsley had been told all her life that her eyes were the prettiest and greenest anyone had ever seen.

"What am I'm doing? If not like I'm trying to impress this guy or anything" she thought to herself.

After checking her hair and makeup once more, she walked out of the bathroom and continued checking on all her tables and bussing the ones that needed cleared. When that was done, she went over to the table that Jax, Opie, and Juice had sat down at.
