Tinsley, Willow, Gemma, and all of SAMCRO sat in the lobby waiting for Dr. Keller to come get them and tell them how the procedure had gone.

While they waited, Half Sack had returned with the food Willow had sent him to get. Tinsley tried to eat some of it but only managed a few fries. Even though she knew Jax was in recovery, she knew she would feel completely normal until she laid eyes on him.

"So, you never told me what you guys were gonna name TBD"? Said Tinsley.

"I thought I told you." Said Willow.

"No, none of us know." Said gemma.

Willow gave Half Sack an evil look. Apparently he was supposed to have told the club about the babies name and he hadn't.

"Well? What did you decide on?" Asked Tinsley.

"Asher Gauge Epps" said Willow.

"Oh my god! I love it" said Tinsley.

"We wanted something different. I literally found an app that generated names and this was one of the ones that it came up with. Neither is us have ever met an 'Asher' before so we figured why not." Said Willow.

"I really like it." Said Tinsley.

Everyone in the waiting area congratulated Half Sack and Willow I think he baby's name. Tinsley would be lying if she didn't feel a little weird celebrating something when Jax was laid up but she needed the little piece of good news.

Just as everyone had settled back down, Dr. Keller came in. Tinsley noticed how exhausted he looked. All thought immediately assumed the worst.

"What happened?" Said Tinsley as tears started to well up in her eyes.

"Can we go somewhere more private?" Asked Dr. Keller.

"No. This is his family. They deserve to know too" said Tinsley.

"Ok. Please have a seat." Said Dr. Keller.

Everyone gathered around the doctor and waited for what he had to say.

"We have repaired Mr. Teller's ankle but this will be one of multiple surgeries. He will need intense physical theropy in the coming months to help strengthen the muscle. Hopefully with the theropy, he will regain most of not all use of his ankle. That being said, he will always have to be extra careful with it and try not to injure it again because if he does break it again, I can't promise that it can be fixed again. Now for the bad news. During the procedure, Mr. Teller's heart stopped. We were able to bring him back obviously but while he is recovering here, we are going to need to perform more testing on his heart. The testing will be a challenge because we normally do stress steer where he would run a certain distance on a treadmill but for obvious reasons, he can't run."

"So what will you do?" Asked Gemma. Tinsley noticed that Gemma had tears in her eyes as wel. She couldn't imagine what kind of thought were running through her mind. Jax said that this very same heart defect is what killed his brother.

"We will do all the testing possible and hope for the best. The stress test would be more ideal but his ankle is completely healed, we can't do that. I hate to say it, but it's just a waiting game. We have to wait for him to heal before we know what kind of treatment will be needed" said Dr. Keller.

"And whats happens while we wait?" Asked Tinsley.

"Like I said, we're going to do all the testing that we possibly can and then go from there." Said Dr. Keller.

"Will he be able to lead a normal life?" Asked Tinsley.

"It's too soon to say. There is a chance that all this was brought on by the anesthesia but until we rule out everything, we need to play it safe. Mr. Teller is going to need to stay as calm as possible." Said Dr. Keller.

"Meaning?" Asked Clay.

"Well, I hope I'm not overstepping any boundaries here but I have heard from multiple hospital staff that you guys are a big deal in this town. You protect the ones needing protecting and that you all have your own brand of justice. I'm sure you guys have accumulated some enemies along the way. That being said, I know that you guys are going to want to know who did this. If or when you guys do find out, Jax doesn't need to know. At least not until we know more about the status of his heart." Said Dr. Keller.

"And just what is it that you think were going to do?" Asked Clay.

"That's not for me to assume and frankly, not my business." Said Dr. Keller.

"When will you all start running tests?" Asked Tinsley.

"We're already doing blood work to see if that shows us anything. I believe they are going to do an echocardiogram in a couple hours and he already has EKG leads so they will be able to monitor his heart rate and rhythm 24/7" said Dr. Keller.

"They did and EKG in the ER. Wouldn't have have shown anything with his heart then?" Asked Tinsley.

"It should have. That's why I'm working to figure out if this was brought on by the anesthesia. It seems the likely culprit since his EKG was normal yesterday." Said Dr. Keller.

"Thanks doc." Said Tig.

"When can we see him?" Asked Gemma .

"Unfortunately, only once person is allowed in recovery. The rest of you will have to wait until he is in his room." Said Dr. Keller.

"Then lets go" said Gemma as she walked out of the waiting room.

Clearly not knowing what to do, the doctor began walking Gemma towards the recovery unit.

"That's fucked up" Willow whispered to Tinsley.

Everyone walked out of the waiting area and towards the doors leading outside. Tinsley needed a cigarette. She had already chews off every single one of her finger nails in an effort to calm her nerves. It seemed that a Marlboro was going to be the only thing helping with that. Tinsley and Willow sat down on a bench while Half Sack sat the baby carrier down in front of her.

"You know, Gemma really pissed me off back there, although I understand her urgency. There's something you don't know. Jax had a brother who died years ago. His name was Thomas. He and Jax had the same heart defect. Thomas actually does from it." Said Tinsley.

"Oh wow. I didn't know that" said Willow.

"Jax doesn't talk about him much." Said Tinsley.

"Well, I still don't see why she thought she should have been the first to see him. He's your husband for Christ sake." Said Willow.

"I agree but I get where she's coming from. Jax is the only living child she has. She's already buried one. She's got to be feeling like she's gonna end up burying this one too" said Tinsley.

"Jax is too strong willed to let something like this take him out" said Willow.

"I hope your right" said Tinsley.
