After having the metal removed from his leg and waiting in the ER for more than three hours, Jax was finally given a room. Tinsley laid in the hospital bed with Jax, snuggled into his side just listening to him breathe. Tinsley flipped through the channels trying to find something to watch but ending up settling on reruns of Orange County Choppers. Tinsley thought the bikes were beautiful but she would rather have Jax's dyna any day. After a while, Tinsley noticedJax had gotten quiet. She turned her head to face him and noticed Jax was sound asleep. She knew he had to be worn out. She was completely exhausted but she knew she would never get any sleep here. Gemma had offered to sit with Jax while Tinsley went home to get some rest but Tinsley refused. She promised Jax she would stay by his side and that's what she intended to do unless something happened with the kids.

The beep of the machines did nothing to calm her frazzled nerves. The stress of the day was beginning to take its toll on her emotions. If it wasn't for the fact that the beeping let her know Jax was still alive and well, she probably would have put a bullet in the side of it. The repetitiveness of it was about to drive her nuts.

Carefully climbing out of bed, she went to the bathroom and splashed water in her face. Looking at her phone, she noticed it was nearly 6:00am. The nurses would be in at any moment to wheel Jax down to surgery. Needing to make sure he was going to be ok, she knelt down onto the bathroom floor and sent up a little prayer for Jax's sake.

"Dear lord,
I know I don't do this as often as I should and I know it's probably selfish for me to ask this, but I come to you asking you to look over Jax. I know he does some bad stuff but he really is a good man and father. In fact, he's the best thing that has ever happened to me and I need him to be ok. I need him here to help me raise our kids.
Please, just watch over him and make sure he is ok. I'll never ask you for anything again.
Amen"

Just as Tinsley was coming out of the bathroom, three nurses came in to wheel Jax down to the surgical unit. Tinsley was allowed to go with him and stay until he had to go in for the procedure to start.

4 HOURS LATER

At 10:00, the surgical team came and gave Jax the anesthesia that would be required or surgery.

"Hello Mr. Teller. Im Dr. Keller. I'm going to be do doing your surgery today. Are you ready to go fix that ankle?" Said the surgeon.

"Definitely" said Jax. He was extremely groggy from the medicine they have give me him. If it wasn't for the severity of his injury, Tinsley would think this was kind of cute. But right now she was just worried.

"How long will this take?" Asked Tinsley.

"Depends on the damage. By the looks of the X-ray, it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours. But we won't know just how severe until we cut it open and start to repair." Said the Dr. Keller.

"Ok" said Tinsley.

The doctor could see that Tinsley was a nervous wreck. In an effort to try and calm her, she walked over and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Mrs. Teller, I know your nervous but rest assured, Jax here will be just fine. The waiting area has monitors that will keep you updated on the progress of the surgery. It will update when we are done with every step from prep to recovery." Said Dr. Keller.

"That helps. It's just that we're newly weds. We haven't even been on a honeymoon yet. I've heard horror stories about things that happening during surgery and I can't get my mind off of them." Said Tinsley.

"I get the worry and unfortunately things do go wrong during surgery from time to time but most of not all of those incidents are because the patient had underlying issues. I've reviewed your husbands medical chart and we have took into consideration the heart defect. We will closely monitor his heart rhythm throughout surgery. I give you my word that I will do everything in my power to make sure he's 100% okay when this is over" said Dr. Keller.

"Thank you. I know I worry too much. It's a character flaw for sure. I just can't stand to see anything happen to him." Said Tinsley.

"I'm right here" said Jax as he slurred his words.

"I know you are baby" said Tinsley.

She leaned over and placed a kiss on his lips.

"I'll be right here when you wake up. I love you with my whole entire heart Jackson." Said Tinsley.

"Love you too" said Jax.

"Ok, well if there aren't anymore questions, we're gonna getting this show on the road" said Dr. Keller.

"Let's just get this over with" said Tinsley.

"Ok. Let's go Mr. Teller. Mrs. Teller, one of the nurses will escort you to the waiting area where you and the family can wait comfortably." Said Dr. Keller.

"Keep your word doc. I need him" said Tinsley.

The doctor shook his head in understanding. Dr. Keller and the nurses wheeled Jax towards the double doors as a nurse in yellow scrubs walked Tinsley to the waiting area.
