THREE MONTHS LATER
Tinsley and Jax have waiting for this day for some time now. Today's the day they find out if they are having a boy or a girl. Tinsley suffered through morning sickness for a few weeks before it finally settled down. The morning sickness had caused her to lose some weight but not enough that the doctors were concerned.
Tinsley was getting dressed for her doctor appointment when Jax yelled from the bottom of the steps.
"You bout ready babe" said Jax.
"Be down in a minute" said Tinsley.
She was getting dressed and trying to find something that fit was becoming a pain in the ass. None of her jeans fit right, all her shirts were now crop tops even if they weren't meant to be. She was only 18 weeks but was measuring at 25. The bump had become noticeable early on. Everyone kept telling her so get some dresses but she wasn't a dress kind of girl. In fact, the last time she had worn was was when she went to her senior prom in high school. She wasn't planning on wearing a dress again until the day she got married.
She decided on a pair of jeans and one of Jax's T-shirt. Since the shirt was longer than anything she owned, she could leave the button to her jeans undone. She needed to order a maturity band if she wanted to continue wearing her clothes and she needed to get some maturity tops or something. Jax's SAMCRO t-shirts were fine but when she wanted to dress up, she needed to have some cute clothes to wear.
After she was done getting dressed -which was a feat in itself lately- she headed downstairs. Jax was sitting in the living room playing with Abel in the floor. Abel was starting to hit up by himself. She thought he was the cutest little thing when he wobbled around like weebles. In fact, she sang the said in her head every time he started to wobble.
Jax had been a big help with Abel lately. She watched the two of them bond daily and it melted her heart. The love she saw in Jax's eyes for Abel was I like anything she had even seen before. She knew what he was feeling though because he felt the same way when it came to Abel. This little guy had come into her life like a hurricane and had changed the way she thought about everything. She wouldn't change a thing about him other than her legally being his mom. Tinsley and Jax has talked about getting papers for her to legally adopt Abel but hadn't got around to do it yet.
As she walked further into the room, Abel saw her and he held his arms up wanting her to pick him up. She babbled in his baby talk which she thought it was the cutest thing. As she bent over to pick him up, he laughed and gave her the biggest, purest smile. It was the kind of smile that only kids had.. the ones they have before life's trials and tribulations wipe away their innocence.
"There's mommy" said Jax standing up as she picked up Abel.
"You miss me baby boy?" Asked Tinsley as she kissed Abel's forehead and began to tickle him
Abel loved to be tickled. Jax hugged them both to his as Tinsley began to tickle Abe more and more just to hear his laugh. Jax kissed Tinsley and kissed Abel on the head and just held each other for a minute.
The last few weeks had been tough on Jax. He had been working nonstop with the club, at TM, and at home. He wanted to be involved in every aspect of Abel's life and Tinsley was happy that was the case. He was going to be a good dad it he didn't kill himself working first. Things were off between the guys at the club since Opie's death plus Jax was still trying to process all that had happened. To say he was stressed was an understatement.
After a few minutes, Jax took Abel from Tinsley and put him in his car seat throwing a blanket over the top. Tinsley put on her coat and grabbed the diaper bag and they headed to the Tahoe locking the house up on the way out.
