Chapter 118

Tinsley dropped Gemma off at home then went to her house. Feeling drained, she dragged her herself through the front door, sagging against it once it was shit and licked. Looking at the clock over the entryway table, it read it was 2:00am.

Geez, what a fucking day.

Tinsley walked into the living room and found Neeta sitting on the couch reading a book while Fay napped in the chair.

"Hey Neeta. I'm back if you guys want to head home. Or you can crash here. Doesn't matter either way" said Tinsley.

"Oh sweet girl. We may not know what's going on but we can tell that you aren't yourself and that Jax isn't home. We will stay here with you, to help you with the babies, until you no longer need us" said Neeta.

"That's so sweet of you both but I can't ask y'all to do that. We will make out" said Tinsley.

"Nonsense. We have nothing better to do anyway." Said Neeta.

"Seriously Neeta. You guys don't have to stay here. I'm not telling you that you can't but I just want to make it clear that you don't have to" said Tinsley.

"We know sweetie" said Fay as she stretched in the chair.

"Well if I'm not going to be able to talk you guys out of this, I'm going to go to bed. I'm exhausted." Said Tinsley.

"Go ahead sweetie. Get some sleep. Fay and I will take care of the babies. Go.. you need your rest" said Neeta.

Not having the energy to argue any longer, Tinsley dragged herself up the stairs and into her bedroom. Jax's scent in the room had tears springing to her eyes.

God I miss him already.

Needing to cry until she had no tears left, Tinsley went to the bathroom, stripping on the way there. The turned the water on in the shower and climbed in. As soon as she was under the spray of the water, the sobs began wrecking her body. She shook all over from the force of her sobs. She cried and and screamed Jax's name and asked the universe why this seemed to keep happening to them. We they not meant to have a happy life together? It was sure starting to look like the universe was willing to do anything and everything possible to keep them apart- including sending revengeful psychopaths to blow up the guys place of business, crazy ex boyfriends and girlfriends to try and pull them apart, and anything else that has happened to them in the past 2 years.

Once she had cried all her tears and could not longer stand from the effect the breakdown had on her, she slowly made her way to the bedroom and crawled into bed. She grabbed Jax's pillow that still smelled like him. The tears began to flow once more.

The sound of her phone ringing pulled her out of her misery at least for a split second. Rolling to her side, she grabbed the phone off the bedside table and answered the call.

"Hello?" Said Tinsley.

"Hey baby" said Jax.

"Oh baby..." started Tinsley as the tears began to fall once again. Not that they had ever stopped that is.

"Shh baby. I don't have long. I just wanted to let you know I'm ok and that I'm being held at the San Jua sheriff's office. The FBI said O'Connor was going to pull though. Speaking of, why did you visit him?" Said Jax.

"How did you know I went to see him?" Asked Tinsley.

"The FBI." Said Jax.

"Figured. Well, your mom got up with some guy name Sam Beckley and he got us the name of the guy who was hurt. When she was telling me about it, I remembered meeting a guy in the grocery store the day you came home from the hospital named Ian. I could t stand not knowing if this was the same guy or if it was just a coincidence so Gem and I went to see him. Jax, he admitted everything to us. He told us what he did" said Tinsley.

"I know. And according to the FBI, he will be charged." Said Jax.

"And what about you?" Asked Tinsley.

"I'm being charged with assault with a deadly weapon. I'm told that's a minimum of one year and a max of ten years. But don't freak out. I'm sure it won't be ten years. At least I hope it isn't" said Jax.

"A year is still long enough." Said Tinsley.

"Not gonna argue with you on that" said Jax.

"Are you ok?" Asked Tinsley.

"Baby, I'm fine. I'm supposed to see the judge in the morning to see about bail." Said Jax.

"What time? I'll be there" said Tinsley.

"No, you stay there with the kids. Things will be just fine" said Jax.

"Baby, I miss you already" said Tinsley.

"And I miss you. Look, the FBI should be releasing the rest of the guys here soon." Said Jax.

"They aren't being charged?" Asked Tinsley.

"No, they aren't. Look, the guards saying my times up. I gotta go. I love you so much Tinsley." Said Jax.

"I love you to the moon and back times infinity Jax" said Tinsley.

"Bye baby" said Jax before he hung up the phone.

The tears that Tinsley had managed to squelch whole on the phone came back in full force. The last thing Tinsley remembered was lying in bed, gripping his pillow like a life line before finally passing out from exhaustion.
