OC used: Diesel Alexis Bourne
Art by: Nightbird305 (moi!)
Story: None, it's just a drawing of Diesel and a fish.
Pros (artist p.o.v): I really like the underwater background and kelp, along with the lighting. The light shafts are new, I've never done that before, but I love how it turned out. I like the pose Diesel's in, and it was quite fun to do. Her expression's cute too.
Cons: The fish was tough to draw, especially the fins. Diesel's other patterns are missing (the cream markings on her chin and neck, the spots on her tail and face, etc), and the lineart/her fur didn't wanna cooperate. I was conflicted on if I should do it as a lineless art or not so I kinda did both? Also I forgot the normal shading before I merged the lineart and color layers and I realized that when I was doing the lighting and shading of the water around her. I don't have anything to complain about in terms of background because honestly I love it, but I had to fix the dark part of it a bit since the light shafts pierced right through the deeper water and it just looked wrong to me. However it is a really cool drawing and I love it, and I learned a few things in the process.
