I uh-
I got this idea randomly-Some info:
Spooky High is apparently the name of the school in the game? Correct me if I'm wrong tho-
Gemma McKay and Scott Howl are just friends at this point.
Not a lot of other Monster Prom characters are gonna be featured. Also Scott and other characters mentioned don't belong to me, they belong to the devs of the game.
Prompt: Spooky High has a new exchange student, and she's human! The downside? Gemma is a skinwalker.
Skinwalkers' diets feature humans.
(Don't worry this isn't gory-)
=The pale-skinned female watched the new girl from across the room, her emerald gaze locked on the girl. Her name was Tina, or something like that. A human, but she practiced witchcraft, so she was accepted into the school anyways.
Gemma moved her jaw slightly, running her tongue over fangs she could feel starting to grow into place. They were fangs that only appeared when she was hungry. This wasn't a normal hunger, this was a hunger that came from a predator deep inside in the back of her mind. A predator that was starving, one that was staring down its prey before ripping it apart and feasting on the remains.
This witch girl just so happened to be the prey. Gemma hadn't eaten a human in almost 15 years. The skinwalker was responsible for tearing out a monster hunter's trapezius muscle (the muscle between the neck and shoulder), but she regretted doing so and never did it again.
Upon the arrival of the witch though, Gemma couldn't help but feel the same feeling she had when injuring that hunter. Starvation.
Her friend, Scott Howl, turned and noticed her laser-focused gaze on the new student, who was chatting with Calculecter and Polina at the moment. He reached over and tapped her arm. "Uh, Gem?" he asked.
Gemma turned to glance at him, breaking her gaze. For a second, her usually slit pupils were oddly oval, but they turned back to normal swiftly. "Y-yeah?" she asked.
"You ok? You seem a little zoned out..." Scott said in concern. Damien, who had been hanging out at the same table as them, looked over.
"I'm fine!" Gemma replied quickly, resisting the urge to look back at the student. Damien raised an eyebrow at her behavior.
"You sure about that?" the demon questioned. Gemma glanced at him and slightly narrowed her eyes. "Yes, I'm sure," she hissed. She didn't like the red male all that much, but she tolerated him.
Damien shrugged and continued watching the new girl quietly. Gemma sighed a little and looked down at the book on the table. She hoped she could distract herself from the instinct in the back of her mind.
Yeah that didn't work. The witch girl came over, and Gemma's senses went haywire the second she noticed her.
"Hey! Damien, Gemma, and Scott, right?" the witch questioned, a friendly smile on her face. The two boys nodded, while Gemma just kept intensely staring at the book, tensed up.
"Gem-" Scott nudged her with his elbow. The skinwalker let out a little, "Mhm!" The witch gave her a questionable look. "Um, I'm Tina! Tina Craft, it's nice to meet you guys!" she gave a big, silly smile.
"Nice to meet you too," Damien replied. Tina struck up a conversation with the two boys, enthusiasm in every word. She was a really hyper, excited, and open-minded, and very optimistic. Damien seemed to be the one chatting with her the most, while Scott just occasionally chimed in.
Gemma was ignoring them, the only thoughts going through her mind being, "Don't kill her, don't kill her, don't kill her, don't even look at her, don't kill her."
Eventually, Tina left. Gemma let out a soft sigh of relief and immediately plonked her head on the table. Scott was concerned. "Are- are you really ok?" he asked. "Please don't lie."
"No, I am n o t ok," Gemma said in response, voice muffled. Scott blinked. "Why?" he asked again, being the clueless puppy he is. Damien puffed.
"Idiot, she's a skinwalker. Skinwalkers eat humans," he chirped. Gemma shot her gaze up quickly. "Not always!" she exclaimed defensively. "Only sometimes! We mostly eat animals, like cows, sheep, coyotes..."
"C-coyotes??" Scott exclaimed. He seemed to be learning a lot of information he didn't exactly want to know.
"Yeah...don't worry, we don't eat wolves," Gemma mumbled. Scott seemed a little more relieved at hearing that. His friend drummed her nails on the table as a silence on the three followed.
"So what's it like, resisting the urge to eat her alive?" Damien asked out of the blue. Scott immediately noticed Gemma's stare at the demon and spoke up quickly, "Dude, you can't just say that!" The skinwalker held up a hand.
"No, no it's ok," she replied. She sighed. "Honestly, it's..." she was silent, looking for a word, "...difficult." Damien tilted his head, not getting it.
Gemma noticed and continued, "Let me put this in terms you may understand. Think of...think of something you hate the most. Something you absolutely despise with all your being."
He nodded a little.
"You want to punch it, right? You want to hurt it, let it know that you hate it, that you want it dead." Silence for a few seconds. "But you can't, because it wouldn't be right. You can't just hurt something all of a sudden when you feel a sudden hate for it, because then you'd regret it later, or there'd be massive consequences. It's kinda the same with these instincts." She took a breath, starting to play with the beads in her hair. "Instead of hating someone, I get this weird hunger. It's like I haven't eaten in weeks, months even, and I need something to satisfy it. But it can't be normal food. It's...it has to be something that..."
She bit her lip, hesitating to go on. Damien and Scott stared at her expectantly, but she quickly averted her gaze and stood up. "ANYway, classes start soon, I should be going, bye!" she said, quickly dashing off. Scott blinked.
"Er...Damien?"
"Yeah?"
"What was that about?"
"I dunno," he said with a shrug. Scott puffed and got up, grabbing the book Gemma left behind. "Well...I'm gonna go see if she's alright. She seemed upset," the werewolf muttered. Damien absentmindedly gave him a thumbs-up, going back to watching Tina chat and go about the cafeteria. Scott ran out after Gemma, hoping to catch her in the halls. Skinwalkers were pretty quick though.
Luckily, he found her speed-walking down the hall, head down. He ran up to her. "Gemma!" he exclaimed. The skinwalker jumped, whipped around, and calmed down a little. "Hey Scott."
He approached her, book in hand. "You left this," he said. Gemma blinked. "Thanks.." She took the book and glanced at the cover awkwardly, before looking back up at the taller male.
"Sorry if we made you feel uncomfortable or upset, we were just curious," he mentioned, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
"It's fine, you didn't do anything wrong. I understand," answered Gemma, a little smile on her lips. Scott gave a big smile, showing his sharp teeth.
"One thing though," Gemma said, making Scott pause and tilt his head a little to the side. "What?"
"Please keep the witch away from me-"
