The bath has warmed you up completely and you shiver as you step out. Starkiller is freezing. As always.

You dress quickly in a pair of black shorts and one of Bens sweatshirts. It's soft and smells like him. You pull the comforter of the bed up to your chin and snuggle deeper into the covers.

I miss you Ben.

I miss you too.

The first thing you notice when you wake up is that the floor under you is biting cold.

The floor. That's weird. I could have sworn I fell asleep in bed.

"Stand up." A voice growls in your ear. Your hair is yanked and you stand up.

You slowly unpeel your eyes and look around.

The room you're in is dark. You can barely make out figures standing on either side of you.

The two people on either side of you walk you forward forcefully. You struggle to get away from them and something cold is pushed into your back.

"Stop struggling." The same voice says to you.

You ignore what the voice says and writhe in your captors grasps.

The cold thing is pushing into your back again.

"I said stop. I can, and will, shoot you right here."

At that, you stop. You know when you've been defeated.

You and your captors walk for a little longer before they sit you down in a chair.

The two guards bind your wrists and ankles to the chair. Once they're done, someone shines a bright light in your eyes.

You squint and blink, trying to adjust your eyes.

It's silent for a while.

"So am I going to talk first or are you?" You snap at the shadows.

"You know why you're here." One of the people steps forward. You blink rapidly to see who it is and then blink again to make sure that you're seeing correctly.

"Hux?"

"Foolish girl. You didn't think you would be caught did you? Snoke has given me express orders for what to do with you."

"Well? What are you going to do to me? Make me sit here and die of boredom?"

"Oh no Astrid. It's much worse than that." Hux laughs, his high pitched squeaky laugh.

He turns and slowly rolls out a cart. Something sparks to life.

"Ready?" Hux asks.

You stare at him, not daring to lose eye contact.

"Yes."

*Ben's POV*

I arrive at my room around two in the morning. By now, Astrid should be out, snoring adorably.

The door slides open and I look around. The room has one bedside lamp left on and no Astrid. There's also no sign of her getting up and leaving.

The comforters are placed the way I like them and so are the pillows.

Fearing the worst, I try to reach out to Astrid through our connection.

Almost immediately, it's as if I've hit a wall. I push and prod at it but it doesn't budge.

Quickly running from my room, I check everywhere.

She's not in her room, or the mess hall, or anywhere she should be. I even check Snoke's auditorium.

I sit down at one of the tables in the mess hall and take off my helmet. It's empty, way past eating hours for the workers. Everyone should be in bed right now.

I should be in bed right now. With her.

But she's gone and I can't find her.

I sit for a couple more minutes before my head snaps up. I know who could find her.

I run towards Hux's room and quickly knock on his door.

He should be asleep but I don't care. I knock harder.

When no one answers, I open the door to find his room empty.

That's odd. I think to myself. Where could he be?

Something tugs at me briefly. I turn around and look for who did so, but there's nobody. The tug happens again and I realize it's internal.

It's my connection, my string with Astrid. She close. I can tell.

I walk farther into Hux's room, running my hands over the walls.

My fingers find a groove and I push on the wall.

The wall slides open and reveals a long, dimly light passage.

I pull out my lightsaber and ignite it. The red casts an eerie glow on the passage walls.

I walk along passage, careful to keep quiet.

At the end of the hallway is a small room. There's one singular light in the room and it's glaring.

Someone sits, tied to a chair. Their head is hanging down, hair covering their face.

Standing directly in front of the person is Hux. Along the walls are First Order soldiers.

I step into the room and all eyes focus on me, except for the person in the chair.

Hux's eyes change from disgust to fear when he sees my saber.

He drops a gun from up his hand.

"Kylo. How did you find us?" He asks, his voice shaking.

I ignore him and watch the soldiers. They have all drawn their guns.

"Fire. I dare you." I say. They do and I deflect all their shots.

Once they finish firing I stalk towards them and run my lightsaber through all of them. It's not the death they deserve but it's good enough for right now.

I turn towards Hux and see him trembling.

"If you don't leave now, I will kill you." I growl at him.

Hux whimpers and runs back down the hallway. I smirk and turn my attention to the person in the chair.

I deactivate my saber and untie the person. They flop forward and I catch them.

"Ben?" They whimper.

"Astrid." I bury my head into her shoulder.

I feel her shake apart in my arms.

"Ben they whipped me. They beat me. He beat me."

"I know Astrid. I'm so sorry. It's all my fault."

"N-no don't say that." Astrid gasps. She struggling to stay conscious.

"It is my fault Astrid. They hurt you because if me. Because of us. I'm sorry Astrid, but we can't be together anymore. Especially if it puts you in danger."

At that, Astrid collapses in my arms.

I hug her tighter to me.

"I love you." I whisper.
