Taming

"Hindi ba sinabi ko na sa 'yo na bawal ka sa parteng ito," sa tindi ng titig niya.

He's way too close to me. Iilang dangkal na lang ang pagitan naming dalawa. Kumalabog na ng husto ang puso ko. I couldn't help but to stare at him like the way he stare at me too.

Shit! I'm not ready for this! Napalunok na ako. Mabilis akong umiwas sa kanya pero nahuli niya ang braso ko. Mariin ko siyang tinitigan pero kakaiba ang mga titig niya sa akin. I don't know if it just me or what? But Clyde's eyes are different. There's no fierce and anger on way he stare at me now... It's like his taming me that I must do.

We went quiet for a seconds while we stare. But then my eyes caught the bandage on his shoulder. It's red and it's blood...

"Clyde, ang sugat mo."

Bumitaw siya sa pagkakahawak sa akin at tiningnan ito.

"It's okay. I'll take a rest." Tumalikod siya at may kinuha sa side table niya.

"I'll get your medicine then." Lumabas na ako sa kwarto niya. Ramdam kong nakasunod siya sa likod ko kaya humarap na ako sa kanya.

"Here. Take this!" Sabay bigay niya nito.

"Key? Car key perhaps?" kumunot na ang noo ko.

"You can drive right?"

"Yes of course. A piece of cake," ngiti ko

"We're going to town tomorrow. I have some errands to do and I'm taking you with me." Mabilis na siyang umiwas at tinalikuran na ako.

"Sure and here. Take this first before I go." Hawak ko ang tubig at gamot niya. Muli niya akong nilingon at napako ang tingin niya sa gamot at titig sa akin.

God, goodness me Clyde. Ba't ba pagdating sa mga titig mo sa akin ay natataranta ako. Serenity umayos ka nga! Inis na tugon ng isip ko. I gave him his tablets and water. Nang makalabas ay mabilis akong nagtungo sa kusina. Hindi ko na maintindihan ang sarili ko pagdating sa kanya. Kumuha ako ng malamig na tubig at ininom ito. I think I was too excited to see him and I hope ganun lang iyon.

It was already eight o'clock when I asked Tess about Clyde. He didn't order a food nor anything at all. Nag-alala na tuloy ako para sa kanya. So I've decided to bring him something to eat. I made him chicken sandwich. Hindi masyadong mahilig si Clyde sa kanin 'pag gabi na. Pero bago paman ako nakarating sa kwarto niya ay si Trevor na agad ang sumalubong sa akin.

"Trevor," ngiti ko.

"Senyorita Serenity, good evening," pagbigay galang niya.

"How's Clyde?"

"He's resting, Senyorita. He didn't want to eat anything even before,"

"Can I give this to him?"

Mariin na niyang tinitigan ang dala kong pagkain at fresh juice.

"Of course, Senyorita. You're his wife and I hope he will eat it," ngiti niya.

"Have you been inside before to check him?"

"No, no. Last time I checked was six hours ago, senyorita. And he told me not to wake him up... I was about to check him but you are here now. You do the job. Your are the wife," sa lawak na ngiti niya.
