Frozen Tundra ❄️ Kakashi Hatake

The First Meeting

Tova was clenching both Shikaku and Yoshino hands when they got closer to the Ninja Academy. She swallowed spotting the other children laughing and talking with one another, she looked around at everyone some looking like common villagers others standing out from the crowd. She spotted a young girl with bright red eyes talking with the Hokage son, she remember Asuma from when Shikaku and her went to register for citizenship and he came in attacking his father but failing miserably. Her attention than went to a young boy with the most interesting eyebrows she ever seen in her short life. The boy spotted her looking at him, he turned giving her a thumbs up along with a bright shiny smile. Tova had to rub her eyes from the brightness, shaking her head her attention was drawn by a man with sliver hair walking over along with a young mini-him.

"Uh, Shikaku Nara and Yoshino looking beautiful as ever." Sakumo Hatake said with a smile. Yoshino half-heartedly glared at him, "Sakumo you know i'm an engaged woman." She said with her nose in the air. Sakumo laugh, "Of course, all is in fun Shikaku I promise." He said. Shikaku only nod his head while Yoshino nudged him gently. "So, this is your little one i've been hearing so much about." Sakumo smiled at the girl that was hiding behind the two young adults, "Yes, this is Tova. Tova say hi to Mr. Hatake." Yoshino said nudging the young girl in front of her, Tova shook her head when she spotted the young boy that look like the older man standing there with wonder. Shikaku smiled down at her, "You're not afraid are you?" He asked with a teased. Tova glared at him shaking her head, than eyed the young boy with uncertainty. "Well than say hello to Kakashi and Sakumo." Shikaku pushed her all the way to the front.

Tova held her breath when she was standing in front of Kakashi who looked to be unimpressed with the situation, "Kakashi." Sakumo said to his son. Kakashi let out a sigh, "Hello." He mumbled. Tova swallowed as her face going red, then quickly ran back behind Shikaku who smiled, 'That's my girl. Don't like boys.' He thought. Kakashi tilted his head staring at the girl who stared back at him, "Well, um how have you been." Yoshino smiled, wanting the awkward encounter to be smoothed over.

As the adults were talking, Kakashi went around them to see the young girl. "Hey." He said behind her making her jump in surprise. Tova turned around with wide eyes, "I'm Kakashi, what's your name?" He asked. Tova swallowed while kicking the dirt around, "Tova." She said. Kakashi smiled nodding his head, "Yeah I know. I just wanted to hear it from your beautiful voice." He said while rubbing his head, his own face feeling warm. Tova smiled at him, she let go of Shikaku pants walking closer to Kakashi, "Is this your first year here?" She asked while taking little steps, Kakashi puffed out his young chest, "Yep! and i'm going to be the best Shinobi yet just watch." He declared. Tova laugh at him before poking his chest making the young boy deflate, "Hey!" He shouted while rubbing his chest. Tova smiled at him, making the young boy smile back, "So, do you want to be friends? We can go through this together?" He asked once again rubbing his head. Tova nod hers with excitement, "Yes!" She shouted with childish glee.

Kakashi felt his pried swell with him being the one to cause her to smile, he held out his hand to her, "Well come on! They just opened the doors. Maybe we'll be in the same class together." He said. Tova nod her head, placing her hand into his. Even as children Kakashi and Tova hand sizes were very different. Kakashi made sure he had a firm grip on her hand as they passed the adults who were watching the two, some with smiles the other glaring at the young boy. Kakashi lead Tova to the doors making sure she get through the crowd of kids without harm, he and Tova shared small conversation as they made their way to the school. Not once did Kakashi let go of her hand even when the door closed behind them.

Yoshino couldn't help but to gush at the two, "Awe! I think i'm going to cry." She whined as the scene warmed her heart, remembering when she first met Shikaku and is hoping she was witnessing young love blossoming. Sakumo nod his head, feeling pride at his son being a gentleman to the new girl of the village and making her feel welcome, "That's my boy! He always did take after his old man." Sakumo laugh. Shikaku on the other hand wasn't to happy about the union, "I thought I didn't have to worry about boys at least for another few years. Now here I am, having to chase them off." He mumbled, Sakumo smiled at his young friend while Yoshino slapped his shoulder, "Oh stop. Their just children." She gushed. "It was nice seeing you Sakumo, and safe journey on your mission tomorrow." She said as she pulled Shikaku fuming form away from the school. "Thank you Yoshino! Shikaku I hope to see you soon at the wedding." He teased while waving. Shikaku gave him the finger as he walked with his fiancé.
