Reconcile

Tova let out a silent sigh as she listened to Yoshino chew her out for going into battle after learning that she was suppose to stay back and not get involved. The Jonin that she pinned to the tree was quick to let Yoshino know what happen once everyone was free to leave the barracks. She was sitting on the hospital bed, with bandages around half her body playing with her thumbs as the pregnant woman continue to throw fire her way. She eyed Shikaku who was no help, he stood in the corner nodding his head agreeing with everything his pregnant wife was saying. Tova glared at him lightly before turning her attention to the woman who was walking back and forward waving her finger around with tears running down her face. 

Yoshino stayed by Tova side the whole week she's been unconscious. As soon as the young girl woke the woman threw herself on top of her crying in relief. After the attack, it seem that Shikaku got to her just in time before anyone found out about their little secret that was now an open secret. He told her people were trying to find where the Dragon came from and where it went,  so far no one put two and two together most to busy rebuilding the village to really care about the guardian. That's what the village people were calling her, on top of that the whole village was in mourning do to the death of their Hokage who he along with his wife gave their life for them and their safety.

Tova felt bad about not being able to save them, Shikaku reassured her that she may not saved them, but she did save thousands of other live that may have been lost. That help the young girl. A nurse came stopping the pregnant woman from her rant offering Tova some pudding, Tova nod her head with excitement grateful to not be getting yelled at. Yoshino fixed her pillow making sure she was comfortable, her anger was than turned to her husband who now looked like a child. Shikaku stared at Tova only to glare at her when she smiled evilly at him while patting her treat. Yep, the Nara family was slowly getting back to normal.

A knock on the door was heard, stoping the woman rage. Kakashi walked in greeting Shikaku and Yoshino, his attention was than on his friend. Shikaku glared at the youngster, while Yoshino knew to give the two privacy. "Well, I think I can use something to eat. Come on dear." She said while grabbing her things. "I'm not hungry." Shikaku said while eyeing Kakashi. Yoshino pulled his arm dragging him out the door, "I said i'm hungry!" was all she hollered. Yoshino peeked her head back inside the room with a smile, "We'll be back honey. It was nice seeing you Kakashi" Than the married couple disappeared.

Tova had her spoon in her mouth as she eyed Kakashi who was in regular clothes. She slowly slid the spoon out her mouth, swallowing the pudding before speaking. "I'm, sorry about Minato Kakashi." She quietly said. Kakashi nod his head, he walked over sitting on the chair beside her bed. Because the chair was for Yoshino it was very comfortable, Kakashi moved his bum testing the comfort, "Not a bad chair." He said. Tova nod her head, "Pregnant women get luxury." She teased. Kakashi smiled as he eyed his friend, "How are you doing?" He asked. Tova shrugged her shoulders, "I'm doing good, thank you." She shyly played with her pudding cup, "So, a dragon huh?" Kakashi said. Tova stared at him with wide eyes, "How?". Kakashi waved to her, "It wasn't hard to figure out. You don't think i'll recognize my best friend. It's pretty cool, you know you can be a higher ranking Shinobi." He said.

Tova only stared at him, "Yes, but it's not for me. It just never called out to me. I always knew I wanted to teach, and with your help along with my parents you all made it easy." She looked to her friend studying him up close after so long. She can see that he has changed from the young boy what felt like so many years ago. The young man before her seemed strong, he gained height along with muscle, his voice has gotten deeper with maturity. Tova can tell he also grew to be very handsome, even if most of his face was covered. She also notice a scar coming through his mask, she was curious if that was why he covered left eye now. Did he lose it on a mission, she wasn't sure.
