Training

Tova let out a sigh as she once again woke up from her dream. She stared up at the ceiling of her old room, Shikamaru told their father about what happen on the bridge before he left on his own mission, Shikaku told her to pack her belongings so that they can go to their mountain to train and to possible get answered. He said if they were out of the village than maybe the fear of causing someone harm being out the way will help her. Tova was excited and nervous about the journey, she wasn't sure what she was hearing but she was also ready to put the voice to silent mode. Tova got out her bed with a sigh, staring out her window she was beginning to worry. It's been a while since Team 7 escorted their client to the Land of the Wave, they should've been back by now. "You better be safe Kakashi." She mumbled. Shaking her head she needed to remind herself that Kakashi was a very skilled and smart ninja with the Sharingan none the less, still the worrying didn't go away for the young woman. 

Once Tova was done showering she grab her bag waiting for her father to gather the last of his belongings. "Ready Tova?" Shikaku asked. Tova nod her head, "Ready father." She said with a smile. Shikaku nod his head, leading his daughter to their normal training ground. Shikaku has notice that her chakra levels have spiked over the past few months, not only that but her powers was growing. One night while everyone was sleep, Tova woke up from hearing the call. She got out of bed making sure her family wasn't awake. She walked outside looking around, she stared at the village gates as the call called out to her, becking her to leave the village. Tova walked outside, jumping on the roof wanting to use the height to her advantage, "Who is it! What do you want?" Tova asked in frustration into the night. 

With the lack of sleep and the annoying call, things were beginning to stack up. Tova sigh when the night was quiet, she was about to go back to bed when the call rung out again. Tova turned around looking around her, "What do you want. I can hear you." She called out quietly, while looking around. Tova eyed everything around her, the call got loud, louder than ever. Tova covered her ears as her head began to hurt, she let out a frustrated yell. She extended her arm, releasing her powers unknowingly. The whole village was than covered in floating ice, Tova was breathing heavily from using so much of her powers. It was like they came out on their own, from being contain for so long. Tova looked around in shock at what she did, the ice that covered the whole village was just floating, than like magic all the ice fell causing loud shatters to be heard. Tova bit her lips as she bend to her knees hearing some surprise shouts, she put her finger on her lips with a smile, "Sorry." She whispered with a small giggle. Shikaku opened the door with a tired look on his face, "Tova, we're leaving tomorrow." He lazily said before walking back inside the compound. Tova let out a sigh nodding her head.

Now here they were making their journey  to the mountains, "Father? Do you think this will help?" Tova asked. Shikaku nod his head, "I believe so. I think you need space to allow your powers to be release." He simply told her. Tova nod her head, "I think so too, they are just getting out of hand." She looked at her hands with determination, "It will be fine Tova. We will train and train hard this time. I know i've been slacking on your training but with your brother." Shikaku paused thinking about his son. Tova smiled grabbing his hand in her cold one, "I know father." Tova gently reassured. Shikaku gave her a small smile, "Come on, we have a long training session to get to." He said. "I think I need some training as well, I came up with a new Jutsu that I would like to try. I'm going to need your help." Shikaku smiled down at Tova. 

Tova felt excitement build, "Really! Oh what Jutsu did you create! I'm so excited." She gushed as she pulled on her father arm. Shikaku only smiled down to her, "You'll find out soon enough. Now, let's fly the rest o the way." He offered. Tova thew her bag to him it's been a while since she transformed to her dragon form, she's been itching to do it for so long, before Shikamaru left they took a flight round the nations in the clouds. It was special for the siblings, it gave them time to just be with each other and let things be said with no hold bars. Tova know Shikamaru would never admit it but she knew he enjoy their time. 

Shikaku was no different, he loved flying with Tova. Something about it was magical, he wasn't sure if it was because she was a dragon or just spending time with her in general. Yoshino said the same thing to him one day, both agreed that something about Tova was just special for everyone involved with her. Shikaku was very proud of his daughter, he would brag about her to anyone that will listen. Shikaku let out a quiet sigh while he stared at his beautiful daughter who was currently in her dragon form flying them over the mountains, his son was a different story. He loved him with all his heart like Tova, he would die for his family, every last one of them, but something about the boy he just couldn't connect with him. He express this with Yoshino who reassured him that he will feel the connection. Shikaku was beginning to think that it might not happen. Tova groan sensing her father turmoil, "I'm fine." He simply said to her while rubbing her head, Tova continue to fly gracefully in the early morning sky. "Sorry to be a pain, just thinking." Shikaku told her. Tova eyed her father knowing what was bothering him, she hope with this trip they can help each other.

Tova landed on their mountain allowing her father to get off her back, "Ah, feels good to be back." Shikaku said while taking a deep breath of the ice air. Tova growled gently to him, she nudged him gently on his side careful of her horns. "Nice flight as always. Now listen, I want you to stay in that form during this whole training session. We need to get you use to being in that form for as long as possible. I believe this will help in many circumstances." Shikaku explained. Tova nod her head, "Next, we are going to work on that ice of yours. We need to get them under control first and foremost. We can't have what happen at the village happen again." Shikaku sternly said. Tova nod her head, Shikaku pet her, "I just don't want anyone to think you're dangerous." He gently said. Tova leaned in his touch, "Now let's begin."

Tova opened her mouth allowing Ice to blow out of her mouth, "Hold it Tova! For as much as you can" Shikaku ordered. Tova couldn't hold the ice any longer, breathing out she let out a groan. Shikaku patted her body as he walked along her long body, "Good job, that was much longer than before." He praised. Tova felt pride, she turned her big head nuzzling him with a purr. Shikaku laugh as he cuffed her scaly head, "Come on, let's work some more on that ice." He said. Tova nod her head agreeing with him. 

Tova stood proud like the dragon she was, they been training for a few weeks now. She can feel herself getting stronger as well along with her gift. Shikaku was training her harder than ever, she didn't remember ever feeling this tired but strong in a long time. Her father told her he's been having this training planned out for years and was excited for a challenge for himself. "Ok, now. Let's battle, the winner will buy dinner deal." Shikaku said with smugness. Tova nod her head, she let out a roar letting him know she was ready, Shikaku nod his head, "Alright than. Lets get this started." Shikaku charged towards her, Tova growled flying in the air, she took a deep breath before letting out a rain of ice. The stakes were very high, neither Ninja wanted to pay for dinner.

Tova groan as Shikaku and Yoshino enjoyed their BBQ. Shikaku ended the match under ten minutes, Tova stared down at her bandage hands with a childish pout, "Oh dear, next time you will win." Yoshino rubbed in her face as she took another big bite of the BBQ. Tova grumbled at her mother looking away, "Oh come one Tova. The meal is fantastic you should eat." Shikaku played along with his own laugh. The married couple laugh together in joyfulness, Tova closed her eyes clenching her teeth, "Ok! I get it! Just eat your food quietly!" She hollered. Tova looked around seeing everyone eyes on her, she felt her cheeks grow hot, she sat back in her seat covering her face. Shikaku chewed while eyeing his daughter with a smirk, "See, told you to just eat." He said with his mouth full. Tova glared at him stilling feeling sore about losing to him, "Hush." She growled. Yoshino laugh at her family shaking her head, 'I love them.' She thought as she eyed her husband and daughter one was chewing with smugness the other glaring with annoyance.

"I would've won if you hadn't used your shadow technique." Tova grumbled. Shikaku nod his head, "True, next time you'll figure it out." He simply said. Tova groan throwing herself back on her seat, "I almost had you too, this sucks." She grumbled. She than smiled at the man the mean so much to her, "Thank you father. You really helped me." She quietly said. Shikaku waved her off, "You did great yourself. We still have some things to work on but we will get there." He mumbled lazily. Tova felt excitement build once again, "I'm ready." She said. Shikaku nod his head at her, "I know you are." He smiled.
