"Okay, mom, this is way too much!" Eleanor Rose Mendes groans, slipping her body onto the barstool.

"Yeah, you guys do this every year," her brother, Raul Peter Mendes agrees, mouth full of toast.

Camila Mendes groans, rolling her eyes at her children who are behaving more like teenagers today than ever. She at least expects support from Eleanor, her sixteen-year old. Although Raul is eighteen, he is nowhere near being as helpful or mature as his younger sister.

"Okay, may I remind you that you rented out a freaking planetarium for your one-year anniversary with Stella?" Camila protests, looking down at her cake. It's a red velvet cake, filled with delicious icing and topped with hearts for decoration. In the middle, it reads in bold letters, '19 years, f***k yeah'. They're children are teenagers, Shawn and Camila know they curse like sailors.

"Mum, that's different," her son protests, grabbing his tea. "It was our first year."

"Well, no matter what happens, Raul, you never stop showing them that you love them," Camila smiles, her heart flipping at the thought of her husband.

He gave her everything. He gave her to him, he gave her these beautiful, God-sent children (questionable, really, at times) and, most importantly, he gave her happiness. There is nothing in this world that she loves more than her family. And Shawn made that happen.

"Life lessons, awesome," Eleanor complains, grabbing her cup of coffee and flicking her brown waves over her shoulder. Although the texture of Eleanor's hair resembles Shawn's, it is Raul who is a spitting image of his father. He has the same Bambi eyes and curls, the same tall frame and, somewhat, the same kind nature.

"Okay, sunshines, if you can wrap up breakfast, so I can clean everything before your father gets down -"

"Honey!" a voice yells, startling Camila. She jumps a little and panic sets in.

"Get going! Dim the lights!" Camila rushes, waving at her teenagers to get moving.

Raul rolls his eyes, "Mum, it's nine in the morning!"

Eleanor punches her brother and that manages to make things worse. Eleanor realises what she's done and stills, eyes dramatically widening. Raul growls lightly before wrapping his arms around his sister and lifting her off her feet.

Camila protests but then they're too caught up in a wrestling match to listen to her. She grits her teeth together, mad at them for not cooperating.

"Happy 19th anniversary, babe!" Shawn yells, bursting into the kitchen.

Camila's stomach drops at the mess around her.

It opposes the state Shawn has brought in. He has a mountain of pancakes in heart shapes and a tub of maple syrup - for some reason, poutine is a part of the dish. Her glitter sprinkled on the tray he's holding a candle. There is also a speaker on the tray, that's playing "Fallin' All In You'.

Camila's heart brightens up at the sight of him, especially when she spots the glitter in his hair. She grins, heart swelling up. He looks like sunshine to her. He looks like the entire universe, filled with the vast stars. He looks like love.

And her heart bursts when she takes in the little body resting on his shoulders. Their two-year old, Noah, is sitting on his father's shoulders, his hands grabbing at his father's hair. He's wearing a hat with the words "Happy Anniversary!" printed on it. Camila pouts, not knowing what to do because their baby is so cute.
