It was a lazy Sunday afternoon at home. Shawn was in the second bedroom of our apartment, which served as a room for him to write songs in. The door was cracked open slightly, sweet melodies of his voice and the same chords played over and over again made their way out of the room. The nearly angelic sound overpowered the volume of the movie playing on tv. I didn't mind though, the movie was boring. Shawn's voice, however, was my favorite thing to hear.

An hour passed and Shawn still played the same chords but now sang different lyrics. I was cooking dinner for the two of us, still listening to the beautiful sounds escaping from the other side of our apartment. When he sang it gave me chills. At some points during cooking our dinner, I had to stop just to listen. The rest of the world didn't seem to exist during those moments.

"Shawn, dinner's ready when you get done." I called. I didn't want to rush him in any way. His new album was supposed to be out in just two months and he still had two more songs to write. He had written all the others while in upstate New York. When ideas for other songs just weren't coming to him, he called me saying he needed to come home to get inspiration.

I was halfway through eating my spaghetti whenever Shawn made his way into the kitchen, guitar still in hand. He looked down at me, sitting at the kitchen table with my legs criss-crossed.

"I finally finished another song." He said, sighing with relief.

"Well?" I said, eyebrows raised.

"I wrote a song about you. Well, about when we first met." He replied. A smile spread across my face, not surprised that he wrote a song about me but surprised that he would tell me. Usually he wouldn't tell me until the album came out.

"Do you wanna hear it?" He asked, scratching the back of his head seeming nervous. I nodded eagerly and he sat down in the chair beside me. I pushed my dinner to the side for the time being.

Shawn carefully placed his guitar on his leg and I watched his fingers as they moved to different frets and strummed a delightful tune. He repeated a tune that used A, B minor, and E chords. After those three chords, I stopped watching his hands and started listening to his voice.

"Damn, you look so good with your clothes on. And I'm not tryin to come off too strong. But you know that I can't help it, 'cause girl you're beautiful. And I can't deny I want your body, but I'm a gentleman so I'll be the one who takes it slowly."

He sang the rest of the song, which I loved. The smile on my face grew bigger as he kept singing. The song definitely reminded me of how we met.

"I loved the song, Shawn." I cooed.

"Really?" he seemed excited and I nodded my head while smiling.

My mind flashed back to the night I met Shawn. It wasn't exactly the ideal way to meet my soul mate, but as soon as I saw him I knew I wanted him.

I had gone out to a bar with a few friends for my birthday. There was a very attractive guy sitting a few stools down from me.

After a few drinks, I became brave enough to go talk to him. It was something I usually wouldn't do. He had been there longer than I, slightly more intoxicated as well.

We sat side by side and talked for a while until my friends left, heading back to the hotel. I stayed with Shawn and he suggested we go back to his hotel.

After the sweetest, most passionate sex of my life I decided to stay the night at his hotel. Every touch of his fingers drove me insane. After that night, I knew I needed him. And he felt the same about me.

I snapped back into the present time to see Shawn still sitting in front of me. I cupped his face in my hands and kissed him sweetly. Moments like this were what I treasured most with Shawn. Just one song written about me was enough to make me filled with happiness.
