"Do you understand?" Damien asked October who walked behind him, taking some notes down in her iPad as they left the cafeteria on the ground floor."Yes, sir." She answered. He walked past the waiting room and made his way to the hallway by the left side of the lobby and she had to tag along again. He walked straight till he got to the swimming pool. He halted and looked around. He nodded, as if in approval of the state the whole place was.
"I guess we're done. Have Kennedy check on the gym and then he should take extra care of the guest in room one-one-three. And the hall on the second floor, have the cleaning staff clear it out, there's going to be an event there next week. Also, clear out my office on the ground floor." He put his hands in his pocket. "My work here is done." He muttered the last part out. She rose her head to look at him, with his back still turned to her. She wanted to ask him what he meant by that but she wasn't sure she wanted to talk yet.
He suddenly turned, as if reading her mind.
"Thank you for what you did the other day. And I'm sorry for the way I treated you. It shouldn't have happened."She shrugged.
"It's okay, sir." Was the only thing she told him. He tried to read her expression. She was quieter than normal. She bit her lip and sighed. "Are you going somewhere, sir?""Why are you being formal?" He rose an eyebrow. "It's too formal."
"Nothing."
He clicked his tongue.
"Well, for your information, I'm the owner of this hotel. And I have a business to run. I only came here to monitor things for a while. Since I'm sure Aso's Elite is running smoothly now, I'll leave fully tomorrow."October rolled her eyes. He only came in twice a week after all. Now, he wanted to spoil her plan entirely. How was he supposed to fall for her now with him leaving the next day?
"What was that?" Damien asked her. Did she just roll her eyes at him?
"What?" October played dumb. She looked around her. "What was what?"
"You know exactly what I'm talking about." He folded his arms.
"I know nothing." She turned and began to walk away hurriedly.
"Wait till I get you." He smiled as he watched her leave. His phone beeped. He took it out of his back pocket and unlocked it. He exhaled when he saw it was a message from Jessica. He chucked his phone back into his pocket. He would read that later...... in about weeks to come perhaps.

"So, is she a classy lady? Is she like the 'president's daughter' rich?" Chizoba rested her chin on the top of her mop stick as she stared at Damien. He was leaning on the wall in front of one of the staff rooms and she had stopped her cleaning halfway to answer him.
"Uh-huh." Damien replied.
"So, just get her something that's like- you know, limited edition."
"Right?" Damien snapped his fingers. "Dior would be cool."
"She would love it. Girls love feeling special. And if she's close to you, you should know what kind of thing she likes, be it shoe or bag." Chizoba put her mop stick into her bucket and mirrored Damien's actions.
"Okay. Got it." He nodded.
Chizoba wiggled her eyebrows.
"Is there a special someone?""Mind your business." He said and she frowned. He eyed her. "How about you? When are you planning to stop working here?" He was still staring at the part of the wall above her head. "You know you're not supposed to be doing this."
