Our three ships enter Aeos' atmosphere. TIE fighters are parked on the ground. Or...whatever you can count as ground. Aeos seems to be mostly water, like Castilon.
"This place looks...homey." I say, landing my X-wing carefully. Once it's on the ground, I pop the top open. Even still, the ship sinks down a couple inches.
I let out a yelp. "This doesn't look safe."
"I agree with Wren." Poe says. He takes off his helmet and jumps to the ground.
"Hopefully," Kaz says, walking over to us. CB-23 beeps at his feet. "We won't be here for long. We just need to get Yeager, and get out."
I glance around at the TIE fighters. "The First Order is here. Don't be so sure."
Our group of six walks towards what looks like an abandoned town, Kaz taking the lead. He says he's been here before.
We tiptoe through the town, blasters out.
"You sure you know how to use that Kaz?" Poe asks, eyeing the gun.
Kaz shrugs, carelessly swinging the weapon around. "I got the hang of it...mostly."
I lean away from him. "Just don't point that at me."
"Right. Sorry." Kaz holds his blaster out in front of him. The closer we get to the heart of this town, the more evidence there is of the First Order.
"Where are they going to be holding your friend?" I ask Kaz.
"There's cave cells up here, around this corner."
I nod my head. BB-12 beeps at my feet worriedly.
"I know BB, I'm sorry. But we need to find-" I'm cut off by someone firing a blaster at me. I duck and roll to the ground, bringing my blaster up.
"Wren!" Poe yells. I ignore him and fire at the stormtrooper standing on a cliff. I hit him square in the chest. The trooper falls forward, and hits the ground with a crunch.
"Kaz, time to find those caves." I say over my shoulder. My blaster is still pointed at the cliff.
"Right." Kaz stammers. He begins to run and after a second, I follow him. Our group sprints around a corner, and arrive in front of a gaping hole.
I duck into the cave and lean against the wall, panting.
"I knew this wasn't going to be easy." Poe says. He runs a hand through his hair.
