Win or Lose

ALL OF US are waiting for the results. Umupo kaming lahat sa mga bakanteng upuan na nasa harapan. The audience suddenly went loud again after the host went up stage.

"Thank you everyone for waiting! I have now the results of the competition here in my hands." Sabi niya at ipinakita samin yung sobreng hawak niya. "But before I announce who the winner is, please let us all welcome the Principal of both schools!" Pumunta sa stage yung dalawang Principal.

It's weird. Both of then are laughing while going up the stage. Akala ko ba magkalaban ang dalawang 'to?

"Anong ginagawa ni Principal?" Gerald is also weirded out by the situation.

"May alam ka ba dito?" Tanong ko sa apo ng principal namin.

He raised both of his hands. "Inosente ako."

Ibinalik ko yung atensyon ko sa dalawang taong nasa stage na ngayon.

"Good afternoon everyone. I would like to thank all of you for coming to this event." The Principal of Heartfelt spoke first.

Nagkatinginan muna sila ni Principal bago niya ipinagpatuloy ang kanyang sasabihin. "I want to say that this old man right here and I are now friends."

Marami ang nagulat sa sinabi niya. Sino ba ang hindi magugulat? Our schools are known for being rivals.

"Alam kong maraming nagulat sa inyo HAHAHA. But what you all heard is right! Heartfelt and I have been talking about this and we decided to clear out the bad blood between both schools. We're also the ones who planned all of this thing out." Sabi ng Principal.

So kaya pala wala yan dito ng ilang buwan all because they spent the whole time together?!

"We would finally like to thank the judges that gave their time for this event." Sabi nung principal ng kabilang school at tumayo yung tatlong judges.

May mga judges pala?! Hindi ko sila napansin!

"That was a shocking revelation about your friendship!" Sabi nung host pagkababa ng dalawang principal.

Napahawak na lang ako sa aking noo. Sa ginagawa nila para silang matagal nang magkaibigan. Nakalagay pa ang kamay ni Principal sa balikat ng isa.

"Finally, the moment you all been waiting for! I just want to say that both performances were beautiful! The competition was almost a tie, with only a point away from each other! The winner for this contest is none other than..."

Ang bilis ng pintig ng puso ko ngayon.

"Manalo, matalo. Ikaw pa rin yung pinakamagaling para sakin Miss President." Bulong sakin ng katabi ko.

"Shut up." Nahihiya kong sabi pabalik sa kanya.

Alam kong namumula na yung buong mukha ko. Nararamdaman ko eh!

"... DVYF!" Pagkasabi nun ay agad na napatayo yung mga kasama ko.

"OMG MISS PRESIDENT!" Agad akong niyakap ni Diane.

"I need to update this on my social media!" Rinig kong sabi ni Amanda at kinuha yung phone niya.

"Congratulations!!" Other people said to us. I smiled at all of them who congratulated us.

Is this really true? Hindi ako makapaniwala!

"Let's go!" Hinila ako ni Van papunta sa stage.
