Foundation Day

AFTER the short chat with them, we went to our designated seats because the programme was about to start. Kaming mga miyembro ng student council ngayon ay nakaupo dito sa ibabaw ng stage. Nasa pinakaharap naman ng mga upuan mula sa ibaba ng stage ay ang mga dating miyembro ng student council.

All of them are looking at us with smiles on their faces. It feels weird, the fact that the past student council members are smiling at us right now. Iba sila noon. All of them looked so serious before. Pero ibang-iba na sila ngayon.

"Thank you everyone for coming back to this school to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Dr. Vincentius Yuan Foundation." Simula ni Principal. Kasama siya namin dito sa stage. Mabuti naman at hindi siya nag-missing in action.

"When my great grandfather founded this school, I was actually no yet born that time. But I saw him handling this school when I was 3 years old. He told me so many stories thay even to this year, I could still remember everything that he said." Kwento niya.

He is smiling while telling to us the story. The obstacles that the late founder experienced while founding this school. It was in the year 1870 when this school was founded by the Principal's great grandfather, Dr. Vincentius Yuan.

Sa pagkakaalala ko, he was 52 years old when he founded this school.

The Principal told us many other stories about this school, hindi namin namalayan na it's already lunch time. Nagsisimula nang magsilabasan ang mga alumni kaya lumapit si Principal samin.

"That was a nice speech coming from you, Principal." Puri sa kanya ni Gerald.

"Mabuti naman at hindi ka nawala ngayong araw." Sabi ko kaya napatawa siya ng malakas.

"Yan talaga yung inaalala mo Miss President. Hindi dapat ako pwedeng mawala sa araw na ito, even if I want to. Baka multuhin ako ng mga ninuno namin kapag hindi ako dumating." Naisipan pa niya talagang hindi umattend.

"Nga pala Principal, all these months that you've been gone. Kasama mo pala yung principal ng Heartfelt?" Tanong ni Ben.

"Patrick haven't told you?" Nakangising sabi ng principal samin. Agad naman naming nilingon si Patrick na ngayon ay nakatago sa likod ni Principal.

He knew?!

"Peace guys hehehe!"  Sabi ni Patrick

"Naku Patrick!" Amanda hissed.

"Wag niyong awayin si Patrick. I told him not to tell you anything. I was just surprised that he really followed my orders. Good job Patrick!"

"Ano pa ang ginagawa niyo dito?" Bungad samin ni Kuya Justin.

"Justin! You came!" Masayang sabi ni Principal at yayakapin na sana niya si Kuya Justin ng tingnan siya nito ng masama.

"Try mo lang Principal." Nakakatakot niyang sabi kay Principal kaya napatawa kaming lahat na nandoon.

"Hindi ka pa rin nagbabago! Ano ba problema niyo na mga President sakin? Ba't ang init ng ulo niyo?" Pang-aasar niya samin.

"Ikaw naman kasi Lo, binibigyan mo sila ng problema." Dumating rin si Kuya Vash.

"Apo! Nandito ka rin? Nakita mo na ba yung kapatid mo?" Inakbayan niya ang kanyang apo.

They're the same height. Kahit 21 pa lang si Kuya Vash, ang taas na niya.
