Spade's POV

"We are going to Cebu, all of us" Dad announced.

"Why?" Ahia asked.

"Spade is getting engage with Shanna" Mom happily announced.

What the fuck? For real? I wanted to burst out when Mom announced it, it was expected, but this sooner... unbelievable.

"How about, Venissa?" Ahia sudddenly asked me after the announcement of our parents.

"I love her and i cannot cheat on her" i told him.

"But you need to be engage with Shanna" he also sounded so problematic.

"Fuck this life" i cussed.

Mahal na mahal ko si Venissa, but what can I do? I need to save my family's reputation... my Mom's reputation.

Ayaw ko man gawin, i had no choice ako lang ang aasahan nila dito. I wanted to be mad at my Mom since she was the one who planned everything with the help of Shanna's father, but she's my Mom after all and i love her and i don't want to risk her.

"Ahia" Stout called me.

"Why?"

"Are you okay? How about Achie Veniss?" pareho lang sila ng tanong ni Ahia eh.

I shook my head. "I love Venissa, but i need to this for Mom"

I left them in the living room. Kailangan kong makapag-isip ng maayos, kung paano ko sasabihin kay Venissa ang lahat.

She's the one of the most understanding and loving person i know, and i hope when i told her everything in time she would still accept me.

I'm just doing the engagement for Mom, no love for Shanna at all. Shanna was my friend, but after she became clingy and confessed to me so i distanced myself from her. I did that for her to stop at para hindi na rin siya masaktan.

Mom and her father were friends and they suddenly came up with a plan, the marriage, since Ahia and Stout cannot do it for some reasons they chose me instead and i wonder if Shanna planned it. She's crazy.

Mom has a debt to Shanna's father and he doesn't want a money to be the payment, instead he wants Shanna to have a position on our company even though they have their own, then Mom planned the marriage so it could be more like a win-win situation for them. That's what i know.

A marriage for the collaboration, and Shanna will have her position on the company. Just like that, my dreams for myself suddenly vanished, but when Venissa came my dreams came back as well.

It took me a month not to call her, because i was scared that she would break up with me on a phone call. And i guess that was a very wrong move of me.

"Spade" Shanna clung her arms on mine.

"Don't" i whispered, i don't want to make a scene in front of my family and in front of her father.

"Spade, baby, we're engaged now so i can be with you whenever i want to" she said.

"No. I only do this because it was arranged. I don't fucking love you, i only love Venissa" i don't care of she will get mad, i only tell her the truth.

"Ako na ang makakasama mo sa ayaw mo at sa hindi. Wala akong pakialam kung mahal mo pa siya, ano pa ba'ng magagawa niya eh ikakasal na tayo" she's gritting her teeth, maybe she's stopping herself to make a scene.

I grab her hand and excused us from the dinner. Gusto ko lang talaga siyang makausap, after all babae pa rin siya, hindi pwedeng pagbuhatan ng kamay.
