3rd pov

you sigh as you look at the elegant dress you wore, one last time, then put a smile on your face. you looked up to avoid ruining your make up because of the tears forming in your eyes.

"you ready?" your best friend, hyerin, knocks slowly on the door, giving you an apologetic smile. you slowly nod as you walk carefully on your heels, standing behind the church's huge doors.

you heave a deep sigh as hyerin kept on looking out for you, and you always give her a nod.

"i'm okay, i'm okay." you kept on muttering before your breath and at last, the doors opened and you hear the lovely wedding bells ring. you smiled, and as if everything went slow, you entered the church.

you gripped tightly on the bouquet of flowers on your hand, intently staring on the man at the very front. he gave you a small smile, nodding. the aisle kept on getting longer, which you wished it would just go on forever. you wouldn't mind withstanding the pain on your feet because of your edgy shoes, just make the aisle go on forever.

"i'm okay," you mumbled once again to yourself, and as if the god of misfortune smiled upon you, he was getting nearer and nearer every step.

you realized that you were close enough, so you take a step aside to go to the bench and sit beside hyerin.

"are you okay?" you just smiled at her and gave her a small nod. "its okay, its okay, you did well." you felt your chest heave up and down, as you struggled to breathe properly. you immediately get your inhaler on your purse. "breathe in, breathe out." hyerin and you tried doing everything small, so that you wouldn't cause a scene in such a big day for the one you love.

"now, let's welcome our most beautiful bride," the speaker then announces and the big doors open once again for the majestic entrance of the bride.

she smiles behind her veil, then takes careful steps through the aisle.

i should be the one walking in that dress,

another step.

i should be the one there, smiling.

another step.

i should be the one taking my time walking in the aisle.

another step.

i should be the one who's getting married by today,

another step.

i should be the one marrying him.

another step.

not you.

and she clings her arms around the groom's, jinyoung's arms.

you sat as they started the ceremony, with constant checks given by hyerin. you quietly sat there, watched jinyoung through his side profile, watched him give love glances to the one he's marrying.

you looked once again on the paper beautifully made on your hand, the invitation.

exquisitely carved is the name of the woman and jinyoung's, wedded today.
