TSP: Chapter 9

Napakunot ang nuo ko at napatingin sa aking cellphone kung saan kausap ko si Axel kanina lang. Rinig ko ang impit nitong ungol na para may may dinaramdam itong masakit.

I worriedly typed a message for him asking if he was okay.

To: Axel

Are you okay? I heard you groaning.

I typed and then sent.

Hindi ko alam kung bakit ako nag-alala sa kanya when I heard him groan in pain over the phone. I was also confused why he wants me to call his name all over again.

He's weird.

I mean he's already weird from the start anyway.

My phone beeps. It was Axel who replied to my message.

From: Axel

Yes! I'm alright sweety. Goodnight. See you tomorrow.

Laman ng kanyang mensahe. Napangiti naman ako sa nabasang sagot niya sa akin and I feel relieved knowing that his actually fine.

I place my phone on my night stand at saka ako tumayo to take a half bath. It's already a routine for me every time I go to bed. I want to feel fresh and clean before I go to sleep.

After I took a warm half bath and changed my clothes bago ako sumalampak sa aking kama. Pero napatayo din ako ulit nang maalala ko na bukas na pala ang coffee date namin ni Axel.

Hindi ko alam kung bakit ako pumayag. I mean he didn't give me a choice to say no at all. Pero parang gusto ko rin siyang makasama. I feel comfortable around him honestly and this was the first time for me to feel comfortable with a stranger.

Siguro dahil sa nangyari sa bar. Maybe I just feel connected to him because I kissed him? Or is there something else na hindi ko pa alam.

I grabbed my own laptop. I heard from my cousin Katara, that Axel is not just a normal person. Out of curiosity. I searched his name on google and lumabas doon ang samot saring article tungkol sa kanya.

Mostly a dating scandal.

I blinked while reading the article. I felt a pang in my chest seeing him being linked to random girls and most of them are models, actresses at higit sa lahat puro magagandang babae.

I admit Axel is a handsome guy. Marami talagang babae na magkakagusto sa kanya. He had defined cheekbones, a concrete jaw and he smelled nice. Maganda din ang hubog ng kanyang katawan, matalino at gwapo. In short his boyfriend material indeed.

Pero mukhang hindi naman siya seryoso pagdating sa love. Napailing ako at sinara ang aking laptop. Ibinalik ko sa ito sa lamesa before I finally go to bed.

Kinabukasan ay maaga akong nagising. I went to my walk in closet at namimili ako ng damit na susuotin para sa coffee date namin ni Axel. Out of the blue natagpuan ko na lang ang sarili ko na nakangiti at tulala.

What is happening to me?

I shook my head at saka ko kinuha ang isang gray winter long coat slim fit with buttons. Inilagay ko ito sa aking kama. Kumuha din ako ng isang white cotton turtleneck to be paired with my coat.

Hindi naman ganun kalamig sa labas. Pero mas gusto ko na walang balat na makikita sa akin maliban na lang sa aking mukha.

I was about to enter my bathroom to take a bath when my phone chimes. Kaagad ako itong tinignan. I smiled when I saw Axel's name on my messages.
