"It started out not too badly. I thought that I could be a bit more confident if I lost a few pounds, but that soon spiralled out of control. I forgot who I was and what I liked to do. I didn't have any energy to pursue anything that I...

Jin insisted that he go to practice the next day. Yoongi would've fine with letting him rest for another day, but he knew that making the eldest stay at home for another day would be impossible. Jin was too focused on his job.
Hoseok was over the moon today. He had received lots of lines for the new single that they were going to release and every word that the dancer said were lined with the excitement that he felt. The rap line were the only ones that had recorded so far, the vocal line not having received their line distribution sheets yet.
Jin was nervous. He had worked harder for this comeback and he really wanted lines and screen time. The "I be searching my room for Jin's lines" jokes amongst ARMY were heartwarming, but they still hurt. Those jokes warmed his heart until it boiled with anger, not towards the fans but towards BigHit and most of all, himself. If only he was a better singer and performer. If only his vocals were unique enough to appeal to the greater audience. If only...the wishes that his mind floated through were deeper than the deepest oceans.
Then there was the other nemesis: dance. Jin worked hard at it as well, but maybe he treaded water more than swam.
Hoseok clapped his hands loudly.
"The moment you've all been waiting for," he paused for a dramatic moment. "The new dance is here!"
The other members cheered, most of them starting to giggle at the dancer's enthusiastic words.
Hoseok grinned even wider. "Okay, now I want you all to sit down and listen to the song very carefully. The choreographer is running late, but do you want me to demonstrate the moves to you all so you guys can see them before he arrives?"
"Yes definitely!"
Hoseok chuckled at Jimin's reply.
The song had a dreamy feel to it, the kind of melody that Jin listen to if he was having a bad day. The dancer, however, would cause him to have a bad day. It was incredibly complex, full of freestyling, sliding and fast, sharp moves that had to hit exactly on the beat. He could feel his breath starting to speed up even if he hadn't moved a muscle. Oh, learning this mess would be so fun.
"How was it?" Hoseok asked after the song ended.
Jimin giggled and clapped his hands with enthusiasm. His crescent-shaped eyes lit up. That boy idolized his hyungs and dongsaengs so much and his passion for his art was so pure, like a clear brook pooling in the forest. Jin wished that he could tap into the brook to refill his energy sometimes.
The older dancer blushed and hid his face in his hands jokingly. He took a sip of water from his bottle and ran his hands through his sweaty blonde locks. Hoseok had access to the brook as well.
"I'm going to teach some parts of the chorus, okay?"
They joined Hoseok in the center of the room. He flipped around to face them, then moved a bit so they could see themselves in the mirror.
