We released the album and now we are promoting it by going on radio stations and such but some of the interviews the reporters or whatever they're called don't do their research and even don't say our names correctly. They have even called Jade Leigh-Anne and then we had to awkwardly correct them. Another thing is that some of them are just straight up ignoring me basically telling me to not talk because the grown ups are talking.
We are at a basketball court for some reason doing an interview and he says that if any of the girls can beat him then we get a prize. The girls give it their best but he doesn't let them win. Then it's my turn.
"AW I have to let her win. She's a kid still." He says trying to make a joke.
I give a fake smile and say "No you don't it's ok." He smirks and tosses me the ball. I am at a disadvantage since I'm wearing sandals but I don't care. I start to dribble then I do a shimmy shake crossover and go for a layup and all I hear is a big ohhhhh and I turn to see the dude on the floor.
"What happened to you?" I ask trying not to laugh "Oh I forgot to mention. I've been playing basketball since kindergarten and I still practice from time to time." and I throw the ball back to the guy still on the floor and I hear his partner wrap up the interview and I walk over to the girls and they high five me.
"So what's the prize?" I ask
"Uh beats headphones." He says giving them to me and I smile and thank him.
We are taken back to our van where the girls burst out laughing.
"OMG you made him fall so hard." Jesy said laughing
"S-top I'm going to pee" Perrie said trying to stop laughing so she doesn't pee
I just shrug "I just got annoyed that he was ignoring me the whole time and that they didn't even do their research on us" I said
"Well you sure showed them" Leigh-Anne said
My laptop is suddenly placed in front of me by our manager and he said "School time Mikayla"
I groan and open up my computer to see what it is I have to do today. I finish it up quickly so I could take a quick 30 minute nap before our next stop which is a live listening party with Will Best.
"So girls what was the inspiration for some of your more serious songs like 'Good Enough' and 'These Four Walls'?" He asks
"Well for 'These Four Walls' We all went around the room and was just talking about the dark times in our lives and how we felt during them." Jesy said
"Yeah like for me I talked about my sister having cancer and when she was actually going through it I didn't really understand the seriousness of it until later when she was all better and the reality hit me that I could have lost my sister." I said
"And we actually recorded that song that day so all the emotions are true." Jesy said
"As for 'Good Enough' Mikayla came to us and asked why can't people just be happy because we're happy? Why do they have to find everything little thing and criticize it. And we started saying how we felt the same way and then the line 'I'm sorry for the smile I'm wearing now' is saying that I'm sorry I'm happy with myself but you're not with me." Perrie says
Will nods "So Mikayla I saw a video of you earlier today playing basketball with an interviewer and absolutely destroying him."
"Oh. Well I had no choice. He first of all mixed up Leigh-Anne and Jade so like come on at least know who's who if you're going to do an interview right? And the whole time he wouldn't let me talk and it just really irritated me so." I said
