Chapter 62

Anna was my ex-girlfriend. I just force myself to love her. My Dad and her Dad were best friends, so Dad wanted me to go along with his best friend's daughter. Gaya ng sabi ko sumusunod ako palagi sa Dad ko.

But things got complicated between Anna and I. Hindi kami magkakaintindihan. She's not my type. Then, she broke up with me and went to another guy. That hurt my ego.

I never thought of staying in the Philippines. Hindi ko gusto doon.
I just went to Philippines for some reasons.

"Adrian, we are moving to the Philippines just a year. Your Poppa is sick." My Mom held my hand.

I was left dumbfounded. My grandfather was my best buddy. We were close to each other. I always go to him whenever I have problems.

Next morning, we went to the airport. We landed safely in the Philippines. I immediately ran towards my Poppa and gave him a tight hug.

"I missed you! When are you going back to Switzerland?"

"I don't think I can make it." He gave me a small smile.

"Poppa, don't say that." I smiled.

I have no friends here in the Philippines. I suddenly thought of my friends to let them go here and go to school with me. They were my best friends since I met them. Isa sa kanila ay Pilipino, 'yun ay si Kurt. Ang pinakamaloko sa group namin.

The next morning, sinundo ko sila sa airport. When they saw me they ran towards me. Nagkamustahan kami at pumunta sa bahay namin dito sa Pilipinas. Ang sabi nila bibili na lang sila ng condo para doon mag-stay habang nandito sila.

It's been a month since I came here in Philippines.
We went shopping with my pals. Nagpaalam ako saglit sa kanila para kunin ang sasakyan ko dahil pina-carwash ko ito. I grabbed a coffee before heading to the carwash. I paid the full service and went in my car.

I look around the city. Bigla akong napatingin sa signage. It says 'Enchanted Kingdom'. Pagbalik ng tingin ko sa daan may nakita akong babaeng tatawid pero bigla itong napahinto nang makita ang kotse ko. I keep on honking the horn of my vehicle. When I was about inches near her someone grabbed her away from the road.

Nilagpasan ko sila. Nang medyo nakalayo ako ay hininto ko ang kotse ko sa gilid. I turned my gaze to her. Nakita kong pinupulot pa niya ang gamit na nahulog niya. May nabasag rin mula sa binili niya. I feel sorry for her. I wanted to help, but when I saw the guy. I immediately shrugged it off and drove off.

It was dark and I felt bored. I went inside my car and turned the radio on
I decided to go somewhere I found this past few days. I love the scenery in that place. 
Binasa ko ang entrance sign. 'Botanical Abilene Gardens'.

"Sandali by Silent Sanctuary, here on radio 96.5 FM." The music played after what the radio personality said.

I looked around the street and my brows furrowed when I saw another vehicle was parked near the entrance.
I roamed my eyes in the garden. Nakita kong nakatingin ang babae sa kotse ko. She looked familiar. After a couple of minutes, I drove off.

"Your grandfather needs you right now in the school." Tumango ako sa sinabi ni Daddy.

I drove off to Saint Ford University. Pagdating ko sa parking area ay maraming nakaparada na sasakyan.
I saw an empty spot on the left side, beside the Chevrolet. I parked my car and got my phone. Nang makababa ay sinara ko agad ang kotse ko. Nakita ko ang paparating na kotse at pinark niya ito sa katabi rin nitong Chevrolet. Why is that car familiar? I shrugged and entered my grandfather's office. I'm processing my papers for the next grading.
