I was happily working since that day. Now I can fully acknowledge myself as the heiress. With my Dad's support, I started working hard for our company.

Maaga ulit akong nagising at hindi na ulit tumabi si Daxel simula no'ng gabing iyon. He was so sure that he will not be able to sleep so I didn't force him. Baka kung ano rin bigla ang magawa ko.

"Hello, Carlyn?" I heard Daxel's voice.

Natigilan ako nang marinig ko 'yon. That's probably his fiancée, I'm sure of it.

He sighed. "I will try but I'm not sure. Okay, I will meet your parents to talk about this."

I went outside. Nakita ko ang bahagyang pagkataranta niya nang makita ako. My brows furrowed because of his reaction. Parang nahuli sa akto sa panloloko, though we're really not together so basically wala akong pake.

"Your fiancée?" I raised a brow.

He licked his lip, hesitating a little before nodding.

"You don't have to be nervous, it's not as if we're still together. I don't care if you'll marry her." matapang na sabi ko.

Hindi siya nagsalita sa sinabi ko. He kept his lips tightly pursed while placing the plates on the table.

"I bet she'll be happy to marry you, she is so into you when I met her." pagkukwento ko. "She's the daughter of a tycoon who owns a fuel company, it surely matched the company you are currently handling."

Kung sila ang magpapakasal ay paniguradong sobrang lalago ang business na hahawakan nila. Having both the aircrafts and the supplier of fuel, I'm sure they would be leading with ease in the industry.

"Bagay kayong dalawa. I'll be happy if you two marry each other."

Nag-angat siya ng tingin. His gaze darkened a little. Hindi ko mawari ang iniisip niya sa paraan ng paninitig niya.

Iritable ako buong araw simula pagkaalis at ngayon habang nagtatrabaho. Ang sama sama ng araw ko dahil sa pag-uusap na 'yon kaninang umaga. I pushed him away, alright. It is better to stay like this because he is already bound to marry that girl. At wala rin akong rason para makisapaw pa ro'n.

Focus ako sa kompanya ko. I don't even know if I even want to marry. Ayos lang sa'kin kahit tumanda akong dalaga. It's not as if marriage is every women's ultimate goal. Marriage is a choice, it doesn't define anyone's self-worth.

But the thought of Daxel marrying irks me and I hate myself for thinking this way. Sabagay, tatlong araw ko na lang naman siya titiisin.

Sa sobrang inis ay pumayag ako nang mag-aya sa'kin sina Raze at Vio dahil matagal na raw nila akong hindi nakikita. Dala-dala ang kotse ko ay pinuntahan ko ang lugar na tinukoy nila.

"Woah, the CEO of Asiana Lands." Raze teased as I sat down on our table. "Kamusta naman ang pagmamanage ng kompanya?"

Bumuntong hininga ako sa sobrang pagod. "Kinakaya pa naman."

"Laman ka ng balita sa mga nakaraang araw, ah. Haven't you heard of it?" pagkukwento ni Vio.

Pagkatapos ng press conference at 'yong gathering ay sari-saring headlines ang lumabas. Hindi na ako nagulat do'n at inexpect ko na 'yon. Ang paulit-ulit na content no'n ay ang pagtatanggi ko sa pagpapakasal sa isang Velarde. It even reached to international press.

Ginawan kaagad ng paraan ni Dad para ipatigil ang pagkakalat no'n but I know it was the talk of town in the elite circle of the business world. Hindi nagtagal ay humupa rin ang issue na 'yon sa kapangyarihan ni Daddy.
