3RD PERSONS POV
She looked up when she saw the man and the little brunette girl walk into the room. "Hi honey" her voice was raspy and talking took a lot of her energy but her little girl was here. "Hi mommy" the girl whisper while her dad helped her on the side of the bed. She grapped her mothers hand and just looked at her. "It's not getting better, isn't it?" the woman look at her daughter and felt the tears forming in her eyes as she shaked her head. "you're going to die?"all of the sudden the mother wasn't looking at her little girl anymore. She was looking at the 10 year old smart young woman she raised. The girl she promised to love every single day of her life. The girl who taught her about real love. The girls she was supposed to spend the rest of her life with. "Yes I am honey, but you go on okay." she said holding back her tears. She let her finger strike down on her daughters cheek. She felt her daughter take her hand and she noticed the tears streaming down her face. She gently pulls the smaller brunette against her chest and start rocking her back and forth. She looks over to her husband standing next to them placing his hand on his daughters back. The older blonde woman gives him a weak smile. He knew she was tired, better to have said she is exhausted. It was done, she was done. His wife her body was failing and she is fighting, but it's over. "Luna come sit with daddy" the man whispers gently pulling away the girl. She breaks down in her fathers arms never letting go of her mothers hand. After a few minutes the crying goes into sobbing and eventually the silent tears stream down. The 10 year old girl turns to her mother while holding on tight to her hand. "I love you" the blonde woman says before kissing her daughter on her cheek one last time. "Take her to the moon for me" she whisper to her husband. "I will. You go Mandy. It's okay, you can rest now. We will be okay." he says brushing his thumb against her cheek. The blonde woman closes her blue eyes and soon enough the monitor shows a flat line.
*one week later*
The ambience in the large room is very uncomfortable. Everybody is wearing nice black dresses and nice black suits. Everybody except from Luna. She is wearing a light pink dress. Her brown hair pulled up into a bun and her favorite doll gripped into her hand. Her mother would've wanted her to wear that. She always wanted the little girl to be the colour in every room. Even in a room full of dark dressed people, she would be the light. "luna come here darling" the girl skipped over to her father to take place next to him.
"We're all gathered here to say our goodbyes to Mandy Porter. A beloved wife, daughter, friend, collegue and mother. She has been taken too soon, but she didn't give up the fight. Today we honour our memories with her and we will take her to her last restplace. Now I'd like to give the word to miss norman" A older woman steps onto the podium measuring the mic to her hight. "Mandy was my daughter. Mandy will always be my daughter. She was a fighter, she was strong and she would not let anyone of anything get away with an unfair deed. She was honest, she was kind, she was smart and she was loving. I'm honered that I was able to raise such a beautiful daughter, leading her to get a beautiful family and she lived a beautiful life" the woman wiped away her tears before walking back to her place. After that her 3 sisters speeched, her cousin tells a story about something they did together and her collegue and also best friend tells everybody how she was her favorite person on earth. But everything the older man can think of is words to say up there. How is he going to say what he wants to say. What in the world would he wanted to say to her. There are no words for the pain he is feeling but there are also no words to describe the love he has or had for his wife. How is he going to stand up the and look at his 10 year old daughter while telling stories about her mother who just died. The man snapped out of his thoughts when he is called on stage. He squeezes his daughters hand one more time before slowly walking up the stairs.
"Hello everyone, thank you all for coming. Mandy would've told you all a joke to crack the ambience hanging in this room. Since she is.. She was the funny one of us. She could cheer my day up with just saying the most random things. Luna has that trait, from her. I thought all week about this. About what to say to the person you love the most in this entire world. What do you say to your recently passed away wife. Do you tell her you love her, or that you loved her. Do you tell her that you will be okay, one day. Do you tell her you miss her? I didn't really know what to say to her, because she knew all of that. Eventhough we fought the first period of her sickness. She knew I always loved her, eventhough I hated her. That's what I vowed to her. I would be with her through sickness and in health. I'd hold her hand, I'd help her, I'd take care of our girl. And I failed that in the first few months. We got into a huge fight. And I know that isn't something I really want to share with all of you, but we did. We got into a huge fight and that's when it got really close. I was gonna loose her, one day. But that one day was coming faster than we all hoped for. That one day was there sooner than we all wanted. And when that one day came. She look me in the eye, took my hand and said to me. "Take her to the moon for me" and that what I wanted to say. "Mandy, I'll make you one last vow. I will take Luna to the moon for you"
Eventhough she may not be here anymore. She will always be here, in my heart and in our little luna. This is for you, Mandy. I will always love you"Filler chapter.. I'm sorry guys😅💗
