Bai Zhenzhen had been discharged from the hospital that afternoon and they headed back to Zhou Jianyu's apartment on S City. He's apartment was located in a a million dollar apartment complex owned by SH group the company owned by the Sheng family. After settling in and have dinner, Zhou Jianyu left for his sturdy and after taking a seat on the couch made a phone call to his mother. She had been calling for a while but he didn't see fit to answer her considering that he could already guess why she had been calling. Su Lixue was very thorough that she had managed to get his usually smart mother robed in. "Hello Mother" Zhou Jianyu said after she picked up the call. "Jianyu so you still remember you have a mother I thought you had finally forgotten me" Zhou Mei said angrily. This son of hers had been ignoring her calls for two days most definitely because he had been taking care of that skank that had him fooled. Zhou Jianyu was really starting to behave like his father a long time ago and she just couldn't let that happen. History can never repeat itself least of all not on her watch. "I am sorry for not answering your calls I have been busy" Zhou Jianyu replied. His mother though quiet had a very bad temper. He doubted that most people had ever noticed that. "Busy doing what Jianyu saving scheming actresses in trouble. Jianyu when are you going to admit that she just isn't worth the trouble" Zhou Mei said. This son of hers forget just who he was trying to lie to. She knew him well enough that she already knew that he had ran off to safe the actress. When Zhou Jianyu cared about a person he would never let them suffer even a little, that was something that they both had in common. "Mother if you check the news you will find that Zhenzhen had absolutely nothing to do with the scandal. It was all a scheme by another actress to suppress her" Zhou Jianyu tried to explained gently. He already knows that it was impossible to change his mother's perception on actresses most of all Zhenzhen except she herself saw concrete proof that proved otherwise. "You of all people know that  the news can be manipulated. Even if she is innocent like you said the entertainment industry is too vicious to be involved in. it was basically a dog eat dog world" Zhou Mei said. "If you really get to know Zhenzhen you will find that she is very different from the rest. She's pure and kind or I wouldn't have fallen in love with her" Zhou Jianyu said. "Love? That doesn't matter at least not to me. Even if you are right and she is good like you said. You and her are not a good fit" Zhou Mei said. "Is that so and who do you think is a good fit for me, Su Lixue" He said. "Yes Xiaoxue is a good fit for you" Zhou Mei replied. "Well then I am very sorry to disappoint mother but I am never getting married Su Lixue" Zhou Jianyu said. "we will see about that Jianyu. As far as am concerned you're never getting my blessings to marry that scheming actress so you had better get with the program, Su Lixue is my only choice of wife" Zhou Mei said. "That's alright mother however I only hope that you come around and see Bai Zhenzhen for the sweet girl she is. Don't be blinded by Su Lixue's pretense" Zhou Jianyu replied. "The annual fundraiser for Ouyang foundation is coming up. We have decided to get some reputable celebrities involved in the fundraiser to get more public attention to the activities of the foundationn since we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the foundation. I would like you to be involved in the vetting process for the celebrities. It would really mean a lot to your grandmother if we can pull this off. I hope I can count on you to lend a hand" Zhou Mei said pretending like she didn't hear what he said. "Yes you can, I will speak with Cheng Juan and see if he can also lend a hand" Zhou Jianyu replied. "Good, I  haven't spoken with Juan'er in a while since Tang Fenfeng had their second child. I will give him a call and check how they're doing. The fundraiser is two months from now so we have to hurry. You and Su Lixue will have to meet and decide on everything" Zhou Mei said. As expected his mother wasn't letting go of her opinion even now she was still trying to matchmake him to Su Lixue. "Yes mother" Zhou Jianyu replied. "Good come back soon you have more responsibilities than to while away your time chasing after a skirt" Zhou Mei said and hung up.

After the call ended Zhou Jianyu rose from the couch and leaving the room headed back to the master bedroom. Bai Zhenzhen was already asleep, he washed up and joined her on the bed. As soon as he laid down Bai Zhenzhen turned over and rolling into his arms rested her head on his shoulder. "Your back, how is mother" she said softly. "She's good" He replied. "Don't take whatever she said to heard Jianyu she's only trying to protect you_ Bai Zhenzhen said with a peck on the cheek. "I won't, it's late let's sleep" Zhou Jianyu replied wrapping his hands around her.
